Well the pigeon doesn't seem like a particularly realistic car because it's in that weird spot between kei truck and city car, I'm not sure about the diesel models but the almost racing fuel injected is definitely not kei car legal or very realistic unless it's like for some kind of race model, the limit for power back then I think was 60 horsepower. That 600cc engine while very fun has hypercar levels of power for displacement even though IIRC that engine uses a log style exhaust header and the torque curve seems like it belongs in a racecar. the lack of fuel injection for the hopper at such a late year makes it ineligible to be sold in many countries. Just little details like that I feel are mostly missed.

The pigeon is basically a japanese version of the piaggio ape

I like to think the 600cc is a swapped engine from a motorcycle, which might not be the initial idea but really fits the character of the engine.
Most ~600cc, three cyclinder engines from motorcycles are more powerful, but.. maybe it's a contemporary engine? Very similar to a BMW K75 engine although that was a 750cc of course, even sounds a bit similar.

He's talking about 600cc engine, which actually is realistic, as it's just a swap from a sportbike motorcycle engine ;)

^ example from my area. Pigeon is pretty similar in weight and size

    Edit: Ninja'ed

Why British? It is Japanese as the spedo is in km/h, not MPH. Both countries use Wrong hand drive cars

The pigeon seems a fair bit more high end than the ape, and from what I've seen the steering wheel on those is either motorcycle style handlebars or a wheel on the left side, I find it kind of odd that it's one of the few right hand drive vehicles.in game.
I was thinking that but there is nothing to imply that it was an engine swap other than the type of engine it is.

You all still don't get it...
    Ingame cars aren't real...
They are a mixture of different vehicles, so it is to be expected that they share the same idea with IRL cars, but they're fully redesigned.

Pigeon could be a mixture of Reliant Robin/ supervan, the piaggio thingy and Japanese kei car/truck (Idk what them stuff are called :D).

The point is there are historical inaccuracies with the in game vehicles. Yes these cars are fictional, but if they were real they would still be subject to the laws and regulations of their country and it would make sense to have export versions.

The 600cc version looks just like a straight up swap, as there would be no need for a fast 3 wheeled city truck, as in Japan From what I know cars in cities rarely go faster than 60km/h

Ekhm. You talking about regulations where every car in BeamNG don't have seatbelts (except 200BX where only have buckles).

Also not every car on the list must be legal. You know, sometimes people just tuning their cars for driving on private tracks or fields where you can do anything as long as you won't go on public roads.

+ I hope that there will be an update to the pigeon, as it has super unrealistic body strength, as shown in the video below:

Tiny car like this should fold like an empty soda can under a foot in a situation like that

(If video doesn't work, just wait 10 min)

The car is based on the British Reliant Robin for the front, and the rear of the Italian Piaggio Ape.

You have to remember that the Pigeon is a truck with a very sturdy frame, not a unibody vehicle like the Covet is.

OT: I just looked into the parts menu for the SBR4, and it turns out that it finally has both a race 6-speed manual and a race 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. If the SBR4 has finally got these transmissions, I wonder how long it will be before the K-Series has corresponding parts. (For now, it only has race LSDs and suspension.)

But still... Look at the thickness of the frame. + the truck was crushing the pigeon above the frame. the body itself is way to strong, as the roof is still stronger than the covets.

Bcause Pigeon shouldn't bend like this at all it have a glass fiber or something like this body - that's why it's so hard.

A 600cc sportbike engine was confirmed by dev - so it's not my speculation it's a fact, body meterial also but I have no time to search for source it was long time ago.
