That sucks. I remember awhile back there was a house that burned down, and was basically completly black afterwards. Little light even made it to the inside too (Because ofcourse we went in and explored it) And i'm not gonna be the one who says it, but the time stamp...
I think it might be arson because a police officer came to our door and asked if we had seen anyone suspicious near the house.
Some years ago, two abandoned houses in my grandmother's neighborhood burned down consecutively (just some weeks between the events). I am sure these were arsons committed by the same person/group of persons and if there were more abandoned houses nearby, they would have been torched, too.

There was like 3 more fire trucks also most of the damage was on the back. Here's a news article about it. https://www.peacearchnews.com/news/video-house-fire-in-surrey/
Funny. The house fire I was on about also happened in Surrey, but the UK's Surrey. Looking on GMaps, some of the places there also share names with the places here
You're from Surrey, eh? I'm not too far from there. Otherwise, I experienced something somewhat similar once before when my neighbor's garage/shop burned down. The entire building was in flames and pretty much gone by the end. Fortunately nothing else caught fire though.
A few years ago some apartment near where I live caught on fire, luckily the damage wasnt too big and they were able to fix it.
