How about a junk yard,so you go there you find abandoned cars with scratches and rust and so on.You pay cheap and repair them.
And barn finds, like having old farm barns that contain extremely awesome classic racing cars that have had their glory days, and you have to patch them up and bring them back to life.
That's a good idea. There was this old game called "Test Drive: Eve of Destruction" where you could buy cars from a salvage yard. I really liked that idea. What if you could buy cheap, rare, and damaged cars from salvage yards, or new/used cars from dealers? Sometimes, rare and valuable cars could appear in the junkyard. You could buy them cheap, fix them up, then show them off in online events. You could always stick with showrooms though, where the cars are in perfect condition and don't need to be repaired.
Yea, but showroom cars are boring. And wouldn't you feel bad crashing a $25,000 Gavril Grand Marshel just after buying it? This way, you don't feel bad about wreking cars, and you can get a cheap car for challenges.
(EDIT: this comment is about the game, not real life.) True. But you could just repair the car. Also, there are some perks and downfalls to where you buy a car. Showrooms promise reliable and running cars that don't require any maintenance. You just drive it out of the lot. Junkyard cars would require restoration, which means a lot of money and time. If you don't have that time, you could just go out and buy it in a dealership. If you are more patient and don't have any events planned, you could invest time in restoring the car. Cars from showrooms are more reliable and tend to have higher performance. Cars from junkyards are cheaper but less reliable. Also, there should be a constant change in showroom cars. That way, as you enter the showroom, you never know what you will find (similar to Gran Turismo's used car dealerships).
I will grant you that one, and your idea wasn't to bad either. I like it actually. But there is nothing more fun than a car with questionable reliability. I think, as you do, that the dealerships should alternate car models for sale! Something else that would be cool would be if you could find cars randomly on the side of the road. That way it's even more unpredictable to what you will find!
Oooh that's an awesome idea! It would add a bit of life to the game. You could find another car on the side of the road, strap it to a flatbed, and repair it. They would probably be cheaper cars though. Rare and cooler cars would be more hidden. I've heard of people finding really cool cars near bridges or in heavily vegetated areas that were once civilized. Here's a cool one from a lake. You can skip to 1:00 if you just want to see the car. What if you could pull cars from lakes? That would be pretty cool.
I think in free play you should be able to go to an ultimate dealer. Name it t-dev's cars or something and you could get all cars for free from there. Also, I'm not saying this should be gta but you should be able to take a dealerships car and drive it though a window...
Hey guys, sorry for the extreme bump, but this is now a thing! check out Car Mechanic Simulator 2018.
Wow, you deserve a medal for one of the oldest bumps possible on this forum. OT: Junkyards sound like a cool idea and I hope that they are somehow implemented into the career mode.
imagine a upturned car which you could walk over and you get visions of the cars life, creepy but cool
Could you at least not bump this thread anymore please its been discussed 5 years ago already we dont need to dredge it up again
I am quite aware that Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 wasn't around in 2012, I just wanted to let them know that there is a game that has a junkyard, which they were talking about, that is related to cars (CMS 2018).
