Ikr, how did they manage to get that low output from 2.3 l? Even ae86 had more horsepower than foxbody.
I live in California. We don't have sections of highway which aren't frequently patrolled, and don't have significant traffic.
80mph. When I owned a diesel it liked to cruise around 80, not 70. But I don't tend to speed since I enjoy driving and tend to let car journeys last a while.
Not sure why people bother mentioning going 30kph even if they don't have their license. I was doing 140kph on racetracks several months before i got my L's. Some of you doing 20mph in a car park in your parents car with one of them sitting next to you is not worth mentioning.
Unfortunately... that is not the case... being the owner of one I can attest that the thing has nothing in the way of torque. It is an utter turd through in through. The one plus side is the engine weighs almost as much as Ford's own 5.0 at the time because there was so much extra metal in that little engine. The dumb thing is nearly indestructible. I used to drive mine with the needle on the tach running off the end of the gauge probably close to 7500 rpm EVERYWHERE because the dumb thing was so gutless. I drove it like that for 8 years until the transmission finally gave up and I got a new car... still have it though...

Last Sunday I did 117 in my dad's 2000 mercury sable, I'm amazed that it could reach that high. Could of kept going but it was already very scary because the car is a piece of crap
This is the fastest I have driven in any car: Car: My friend's '96 Volvo 850 Estate 2.5 TDI Horsepower: Stock one has 140, but this one had increased boost and modified injection pump, so probably around 160-170 hp Location: Long flat stretch of crappy Finnish highway Speed: 215 km/h or 134 mph on speedo. Would have gone faster, but I had to slow down due to the traffic. Then fastest I have driven in my own car: Car: '83 Mazda 323 BD 1.3 Saloon Horsepower: 68 hp Location: Over 10 kilometers of nearly straight flat crappy Finnish highway. Max speed was achieved on a 5 km stretch of new smooth tarmac in the end of the test Speed: 175 km/h or 109 mph on the speedo, 168 km/h or 104 mph on the GPS. I was in the car alone and the fuel tank was almost empty. It was the absolute maximum speed on a flat road for this car and really impressive for such a low-powered engine.
Car: 2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 Fastest speed: 125 mph or 201 km/h First day on buying/picking up the car in Atlanta, GA. Had the very long drive back down to Miami and was following my dad after trying to circumvent some heavy traffic, got separated from my dad, and got forced onto a wrong exit, so I had to find my way back/ catch up with my dad, who apparently didn't notice that I wasn't behind him anymore. Found an empty-ish stretch of highway and gunned it until I got paranoid of coming across a waiting highway patrol officer and slowed down, eventually did catch up with dad and made it home. Car: 2011 Nissan Titan Fastest speed: 100 mph or 160 km/h Got held up behind a slow lane hogger in the fast lane while a bus was keeping up to the same speed as the lane hogger for several miles on a 2 lane highway, I was pretty sure the lane hogger was being an ass because soon as the highway widened up, I went around and gunned it to try and pass him, and he tried speeding up to block me from overtaking him, but I had more horsepower and was alot bigger than him.
1- 2007 Mazda RX-8 (friend's car, the people that know me better on the BNG forums know i own a '91 FC3S Turbo II RX-7) 2- 220whp (Dyno'd) from a 1.3L N/A "Renesis" 2 Rotor Engine (Stock). 3- Flat (maybe more of an incline of around 10-15%) Stretch of 15km of country roads. 4- 190MPH/305kmh (We didn't hit the car's top speed tho #RotaryPower) Also there were 4 people in the car (it was full). Doesn't really count as this wasn't my top speed ever hit in a car, but i once hit 160mph in my personal FC Turbo II '91 RX-7.
ummmm... the fastest car i even drive? my dad's renault fluence 2.0 in a empty avenue 70 km/h (44 mph) on 6th gear okey it isn't very fast but i drive slow because i haven't license (YET) SORRY FOR MY POOR ENGLISH
Lol this is the third minivan on here. Car: 2013 Toyota Sienna LE Engine: 266HP V6 Speed Achieved: around 102 MPH while overtaking a Semi..... I was a passenger tho. BTW, It sounded amazing....it's inner Eight-Six showed there... Anyway, driving? 28-34 MPH on a Dune Buggy track. (Very muddy)
As a driver, My 1st car: BMW e36 318Ti 140HP Little downhill: 220kmh (speedometer) Total vmax - last gear (5th) revlimited My current car: BMW e46 330D tuned ~330hp / +700nm Flat: only 240kmh (speedometer) on autobahn - i still had 600km to travel, didn't wanted to stress out engine to much. Uncle's car: Audi a6 4.2l 350HP Little up hill on a curvy expressway 253kmh (GPS) 255kmh (speedometer) factory limit, would go faster if it didn't had this limit.
