    Hello;

I'm considering buying BeamNG.Drive on steam - but first I need to know if my PC (laptop) will run it. Thanks :)

    Here are my laptop specs:

    Intel Core i3-3217U CPU @ 1.80GHz
    6.00 GB RAM
    64-bit (Windows 10)
    NVIDIA GeForce 710M

Thanks to anyone who replies :)

It might run on that laptop, but it is recommended to have more RAM and a better CPU. It probably won't run on ultra high graphics, but will likely work on lowest to medium settings at a playable fps.

Thanks for the quick answer :)
I think that's good enough for me - I'm used to running things on low-medium graphics. And I'll be getting a Desktop PC soon so I can look forward to playing on that. I think I'll buy the game tonight :)
    Thanks so much :)

If you have integrated graphics, no, but you seem to have dedicated laptop graphics so certainly yes.

Hello, I would give the tech demo a try to see if it would run on your PC.

I used to use a Toshiba laptop with an A8, 8 GB of ram, and integrated graphics and it could run BeamNG at a steady 20 fps. I could run 2 or three cars at the same time except crashes with the T-Series were a little laggy.

You could play this game, but you'd have to turn down the graphics to lowest to get 20 FPS on most maps. Also (if you're planning on driving in a densely-vegetated map), try hiding the vegatation by going into the World Editor with F11 (or Fn + F11 if you're on certain computers, like my Dell Inspiron laptop)...

...going into View -> Visibility Layers (which you can activate with Alt + V, as well)...

...going into Visible, and then clicking SceneStaticManagerRender in the drop-down menu.

The end result is something like this: a map which will look terrible, but run at at least 10 FPS faster (I jumped from ~10 FPS to 20 with just this simple step), and will be a lot more playable with the AI, as well (as they tend to crash a lot around JRI). If you wish to improve FPS further, hiding the GroundCover (the little grasses and shrubs near the road), WaterPlane (or one of the three Water options) to get rid of the water, and TSStatic (all of the buildings and other solid man-made objects around the place) will help to potentially give you 60 FPS on your system with one car.

A couple years ago I could play drive on a XP machine, AMD Athlon dual core, 2GB ram and a very low end graphics card... Only 20 fps max. On grid map

I have a completely stock HP Envy x360 laptop with windows 10 and intel i7 with 11.8 GB of ram left. on full settings it is almost unplayable. My settings are currently all on low except for textures or something like that which is on normal. I can use reflections if I wanted to but to get extra FPS I choose not to. All vanilla maps and most modded maps run fine for me. Also I like to lower the amount of grass in the map using the slider because it really helps. I can get 8 cars on Utah while it is still playable. UI is a bit slow but that's just because I have 260+ mods.

If my A8-6410 with 12Gb of RAM (though ram shouldn't matter unless you want to run Tennessee) on integrated R5 graphics can hit 30fpa on lowest + AA (CPU bottleneck), yours should be perfectly fine.
My desktop I3-6100 and 8Gb of RAM on integrated HD 530 hits 30fps on medium, so putting these together, you get:
Your I3 comparable to my A8 with a 1GHz OC, and your dedicated equalish to my HD 530 should leave you playing at 30FPS low-medium settings.
I'd download the tech demo on the home page, then whatever you get there multiply by 1.45 (for all the optimizations) to get estimated FPS.
