Vehicle Donations

This just popped in my head at the spur of the moment.
Would one be able to donate a vehicle they have made to BeamNG?
Example, if I made a car called the WMB 43E,and I imported it into Cryengine,would I be able to donate it to BeamNG for someone to make the N/B for it? (since BeamNG tech is not yet public)

 

It doesn't seem likely that gabester would begin making n/b's for other people's meshes. And the same thing won't work when the game is released to the public. As in RoR, there are far more people who can make a mesh than those who can made a decent n/b. If you've mastered n/b's and vehicle creation in beamng, chances are you know how to make a mesh too.

 

Hmm,I agree,but I may have typed it too poorly, I meant if we couldliterally giveour CryEngine ready vehicles to the devs,and they can do what they want with them,not giving them a shitty car that somehow got in CE and scream "OmG mkae nbee plez!"

 

I think it depends on what you mean by "cryengine ready". I reckon cars made for cryengine are quite different to cars made for beamng, but I'm just speculating here. I think it more depends on Gabester's attitude to the idea, and I have no idea. Maybe he will reply to this thread at some point.

 

No artist is bound to have the same style as another. Imagine a ramshackle collection of vehicles made by different authors. None of the vehicles would look like they belong to the same game, overall making it look extremely unprofessional.

 

Overall,I agree,it will be abused by idiots who will make a half baked blende rmesh,slap it in CryEngine and shout at devs to akemthe N/B for it.
Seemed like a goodmidea at the time of thinking,I shouldn't make suggestions whe I'm tired.

We can do an a competition :

Everybody that want to make a car , they make it , we send our cars to BeamNG team and they choose the best one to his game , video or whatever

 

I don't think you can just make a competition and expect the beamng team, i.e. Gabester, to comply with it. If they wanted our sub-standard meshes, I think they would just ask.

 

Yeah, I agree with that. However, maybe such a thing could be done with a "mod highlight" sort of deal where they would showcase a mod that people should download.
