I am wondering whether you think car culture is dying or if its just me? I have a feeling by the time I get a drivers licenses there wont even by cars.
I think so too new tech making driving not even a thing and car enthusiast (being the fagots they are) will make anybody think "liking car means I have to be stupid a hypocritically".
Your post(s) seem unfocused there... You are equating that car culture ending is the same as the outlawing of cars on public roadways. No, no no no. Car culture will exist in some form for as long as people still give any sort of a damn about vehicles in general. You just will have to keep your eye out for people to associate with who actually know what they're talking about. Don't worry about that. As for cars being legal to drive, well, I don't see them being taken away any time soon. I see them being phased out over a period of time instead of being outright banned... For one, what the hell would you do with all the waste? Recycling facilities and junkyards would be over filled if cars were outlawed right on the spot the day that the first self driving car comes to the market. And not to mention the amount of economical damage that banning the typical automobile would cause. The non self driving automobile will almost certainly be phased out over a decently long time. Its just stupid for a country's government to try and ban something without some sort of warning or transition period long enough to make a switch. I'd say that it could cause extreme civil unrest for a change to occur that quickly that is that drastic. You should start paying more attention when "autopilot" comes to cars and becomes standard equipment. Maybe at that point give it 10 years or so after it shows up. Self driving cars would not be very far behind a full autopilot mode, assuming that the autopilot mode works correctly and is proven to work in mass usage. If you're old enough to communicate like a halfway decent young adult, you should still be able to get the opportunity to drive an automobile for at-least a few years of your life. And I also don't see the racetrack going anywhere anytime soon, so you will have that option for awhile to truly enjoy your vehicles, legally. Feel free to correct my post, I also find myself a bit behind on what's going on in the car world nowadays, and I probably said a couple things that probably aren't true, idk.
Can't even really mod your car here in Mass and pass inspection, you pretty much have to register your car in another state to be able to drive a modded car. Coilovers? You're going to fail inspection. High flow exhaust system on a car that doesn't even have to pass emissions? You're going to fail because you don't have a cat. Is your engine not 100% absolutely bone stock? Tough luck, youre probably going to fail inspection. I hate this state
yes and no in a way. Yes it is dying because of all the wanna be car guys that drive ricers. (aka people at my school)
Sorry for offtopic here, but damn that's nasty sounding. Its unfortunate you have to put up with that kind of stuff just to keep your car legally registered :/
Car culture will never die as long as car enthusiasts remain strong. Sure, non car people are constantly trying to kill it, but it won't be going away any time soon
Car culture is dying because everyone wants smart cars because of "global warming" (notice the quotes)
