Thanks, that will come handy I have been making some progress with the car lately, including interior work, textures for the wheels and started a new skin for a rallycross version maybe? And obviously there's an constantly ongoing n/b work. I still have to re-make the suspension when the slidenodes come out, the car is using double wishbones for suspension, where the real car uses Mac pherson struts (not really possible to make without the slidenodes).
I'm afraid that's not gonna happen, there's still stuff to make. For example I have to recreate the suspension because it uses McPherson struts and for that we'll have to wait for the slidenodes. No, it's not dead. It's just that I have +10 other projects at the same time and I work on the one I want at the time, helps to keep the motivation up I'm also servicing in the army right now which takes a lot of my time.
Those damn McPherson struts are holding so many awesome projects back :\ I hope they implement the slidenodes in the next update.
Macpherson strut is a pretty decent system though :/ Easy to adjust the camber and caster angles and quite favourable change in camber through the suspensions travel which being quite compact. Sure you can create a nicer suspension with double wishbones or multilink but it costs more, doesnt have much advantage for a normal family car and consumes more space.
Oh, I wasn't hating on MacPherson struts, I was hating on the fact that there are many projects such as this that are being held back.
I know. Shame really that one of the most popular systems isn't possible. Slidenodes are on the todo list though so we'll get macphersons eventually.
What kind of nodes would be needed for hydraulics? As in, someone could make that one hellaflush car with the hydraulics that can practically make the car walk? That would be the mod that, if done correctly, everyone would love, but hate at the same time, because it is that stupid.
You can already replace springs/shocks with hydraulics. The input sources are currently limited, but you could make the car bounce up and down with the turn signal key if you wanted.
Update -Suspension has now been completely re-modeled, should be pretty accurate now -more interior work -little details such as a spare tire and mudflaps -n/b work, mostly crash improving -gravel wheels and suspension option
It looks amazing! Only criticism... It isn't a Subaru Impreza. A rally car, is a rally car, and I am happy with all! Good luck with what ever remains to do on this project and I hope to be driving this as soon as I see a release!
Looks amazing! Happy to see some really good quality mod makers in the BeamNG community.. Will definitely abuse this thing when a beta is released.
