Problem with mod

Hi everybody, hi have a problem with the installation of mod. I put the .rar file in the folder of mods (cars), after i open the game , and it say me that the mod are active, but when i want choose the car, it there isn't, but it result active.

What mod are you using that has a .rar file? If you got it off of a third-party website such as World of Mods, it is likely outdated and won't work. Try to avoid using third party sites like World of Mods, they usually steal mods from the official forum and the mods they make are usually of horrible quality.

The game only supports .zip archives. .rar archives are usually found on Russian sites, or in rare cases some old mods around here used alternative archive formats such as .rar, for distribution. These mods had to be unpacked and put in another folder in order for them to work. This is no longer supported in the game.

If you got your mod from a website other than the beamNG forums, please delete it. Its stolen, low quality, and you probably now have viruses. Downloading mods at other sites is wrong, and is seen just the same as stealing the game in the eyes of this community, including myself.



If you got your mod from the BeamNG website, chances are it is extremely outdated. The game never has supported .rar, only standard folders and .zip. Its better to go find an updated version or a different mod that is made for newer versions of BeamNG.
