My acer chromebook keeps crashing randomly, deleting all my unsaved schoolwork, and im suprised i havent put a hole in the screen yet. any tips?
Safe Mode. Maybe it's a virus, or a driver problem. If you are seeing a BSOD, than the error code would give you some hint. hurr nvm
Does your school supply you with a chromebook? If so, do you have an IT department or a help desk? It is a chromebook, so none of those should be issues, as far as I know. I suppose a virus is somewhat possible, I suppose. Edit: Wow, that was redundant.
the IT department have already "fixed" it, but all they did was take off my sticker that was on it and crack the housing.
The only 2 things that seem possible are that its hardware is defective or you installed something really dodgy from the Chrome Web Store.
its the worst computer, because the clips on the plastic piece around the screen have worn down, so that doesn't stay on right, and over half the screws have fallen out of the bottom...
You could try doing your schoolwork on your normal computer at home then I guess? Isn't it on Google Drive?
Acer C720? My school gave the juniors and seniors these pieces of crap, while the freshman and sophomores got nice ones with 360 degree hinges...
