This course was more challenging to finish than expected. That final turn onto the wooden bridge is very dangerous in the Covet. Stock BRC4 Covet, manual transmission, Xbox 360 Controller, time of 3:37.510.
A tough one indeed! I had way faster single laps, but I couldn't string two good one together. Love the fast crest at the windmill! Bruckell LeGran BRC4 w/ABS, keyboard. 3:50.942
Wish I had the time to polish this course up, also wish I had a wheel set up at the moment. Quite a tricky course, would've loved to put some work into this one if I had the time. I feel like there's at least fifteen seconds to be saved in perfecting hairpins here. (video won't be live for a bit, still uploading)
I can say: you need damn fast arms and a tight grip on a wheel to master stage 2! Not a piece o' cake in any way :-D
Finally got a time together for BRC4 Round 2. 3:54.198 seconds. Covet with untuned BRC4 config and Xbox One Controller. Here is the time . Sorry about the music, did not think it would come into the recording (song is Wolfgang Gartner - Illmerica from Forza Horizon 1 in case you want to listen to it)
I am a pickle. JK, I dont know if I will be able to make a round, but someone has to send me the map link or the things for it. --- Post updated --- Never mind about that, I will be able to do stage 3, I will try it today, but how will my video be uploaded to youtube??? I am just asking
Bit too late mate. If you want to participate you either need to record and upload a video of your run to youtube and link it here r post a replay file of the run.
My attempt for Stage 2. I'm happy people like the flying crest, definitely my favorite part. The hairpins are really tough to master. I nearly lost it on the bridge at the end. BRC Spec Rally Sunburst (Manual w/ XBox One Controller) 03:44:065
What a blast to drive this stage was! Great layout @ClassyClassic ! Did a 3;35.917 min driving a Sunburst BRC4 with wheel (Messed up the recording of a slightly faster run :-/ )
This marks the end of state 2. View the standings on Google Sheets It's close at the top of the placements, which is always a great thing to see. Hopefully more people can get a time in for the asphalt course - it's perhaps less forgiving than the CC Utah Rally Circuit, though not necessarily more fun. Will spruce up this post later (edit)
So, I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to make replays work. I've done stage 2 with a time of 3:39.372. I might just try to convert the .rpl file to .mp4, and see if that works. I've got a screenshot here, but I'll try to figure out the video stuff within the week. If anyone has any tips, please let me know.
The easiest way I have found to record your run is to use the record function on the game bar (opened by pressing windows key and G and then pressing the record button). Then you upload that video to youtube and link it here. You cannot convert the .rpl files to mp4, that is not how they work. Not sure what settings you run but it works well enough for me with a i7 laptop with integrated graphics.
@HuttonsConformist The .rpl file isn't a video file, it's basically a file with instructions so the game can recreate what was recording in the physics engine through the replay app. If you want to make a video out of it, you need to open the replay app or click on the replay menu, and then navigate to the file of your race and play it while recording with capture software. If you want to upload the .rpl file without needing to capture video, short instructions are below. Go to your .rpl file in Documents > BeamNG.drive > replays, right click on the file, then hover your cursor over "send to." Click on "Compressed (zipped) folder" and it'll make a .zip file copy with the same name as your .rpl file that can be uploaded to the forums. The whole process should take less than a minute. Gfycat Video - Click to Play - Direct Link And for future reference, please do not wait until after a stage deadline to figure out your submission. We're pretty forgiving about technical difficulties or being a few minutes late from Internet trouble, but the picture and questions for Stage 2 still should've been posted reasonably close to 22:00 UTC on Monday.
Alright, getting my first submission for Stage 3 out a little earlier this time. Stock BRC4 Covet, manual transmission, Xbox 360 Controller, time of 2:21.926.
My 1st best attempt at the third stage. The initial straight is pretty unique, coming to the end with all of that speed is an interesting thing to tackle quickly. The blind corner left is also really hard to judge. Overall really fun course, I can't even come close to Serzari's time. Good job man. BRC Spec Rally Sunburst (Manual w/ XBox One Controller) 02:31:225 I really hope some more members are able to participate, we've had a lot of drop off in the second race.
