So good to see this development video again. Credits and details in first post are still uncomplete, but the presidential limo is Synsol idea and development, and american flags are from Bernd. I will complete the first post asap but i'm very tired ATM.
Very fitting video. Think you guys will be familiar with the pursuit and the suspect vehicles. Apparently the engine failed in the camera car at the end of the video. 3:18 is the best part of pretty much any police chase I've seen.
Is there any chance a hearse version could be worked on? Like this, but for the Caprice? --- Post updated --- Also maybe i want a Ghostbusters version but shhhhh
Does anyone know what mods make the delta 88 Version make a fatal exception? --- Post updated --- Caprice and Regency work
i have no texture on glass on the chevy and no glass and chrome on the regency. also my cache is cleared and and no other mod really that would cause this, however, i do have the other ols mobil (doesnt work) and it showed up when i installed your mod
yes it's clearly written in the FIRST POST DESCRIPTION that you have to delete the PREVIOUS ADDON or all will be messed up. Could you guys read it before complaining for bugs ? This mod took hundred of hours to achieve, and this needs you to take one minute before playing. Thanks ! The mod works, i'm pretty sure about that Ha ha yes, a Hearse full of crash test dummies Hearse are often used for demo derby as well, so yeah, this is probably gonna be an addition
It's not super hard, but I could've done it a lot better, Big Bill's Hell should fit quite well on the limo's TV since it's original format was VHS, but alas I'm too lazy to do things properly, here's some useful info if you want to do things nicely though. The TV found in the Limo runs at a 4:3 aspect ratio, with the stock video in it running at a crisp 640x480 resolution. This is important because most content today runs at a 16:9 aspect ratio, which when input into into the Limo's television will still produce something that is running at widescreen but smaller, and with black bars sandwiching the video. This was actually kinda a thing back in the day when you got a widescreen version of a movie, it would produce the same effect. Anyways, if you don't like that sort of thing (which many people didn't), I don't really think there is much you can do to combat it other than finding the video in 4:3, or cropping the video into the 4:3 format, but by cropping it you might loose a lot of visual information, especially in anything that uses the 16:9 ratio to it's advantage. So have fun with the widescreen vs fullscreen argument that ended years ago . Anyways, modding the video itself is as simple as replacing compilolds.webm in the 1980regency folder of the codename_american_fullsize_series.zip with another .webm of your choice. Make sure to remove the old compilolds.webm from the zip and back it up, your new webm should also be named compilolds.webm. I can't really vouch for it too much, but if need something to convert your videos into webm I used: https://github.com/WebMBro/WebMConverter If you want to go the extra mile, I recommend adding subtle scan lines to your videos, and slight color, and tracking distortions if your pretending your video is on VHS.
Could you make a Oldsmobile vista cruiser? In the mod, there are crash test dummy's in the cars, would it be possible to make a mod so all the official cars could have that feature? And the TV in the limo closes when I turn it on. --- Post updated --- same
Are the skin UVs included in the .zip ? I searched through both the oldsfullsize and addon folders and I wasn't able to find them.
Wow this mod is amazing! One issue i have spotted though, if you watch the TV "program" to the end, and then close the TV, it plays the TV sound but the screen closes, open it again and the TV sound stops. Need to maybe have a TV open, and then TV on/off button instead of just one button (if at all possible)
The pace car config should say Official Pace Car instead of Unofficial Pace Car, just wanted to point that out.
