Any news on Career Mode?

Hello guys!
Sorry if this has been asked already but looking for "career" via the search feature didn't show any hits, so here is my question:

Are there any news on Career mode? Since I haven't seen you mentioning it at all so far I guess asking "when will it come out" would simply be too early.
I'd like to know how you guys plan to handle the career mode. Will there be different types of careers to choose from and how will they work?

I for example would really prefere open-world careers where you drive to dealerships to buy cars or parts and assemble the parts in your own garage. Would also be cool to be able to buy certain houses/garages.
And you would have a variety of legal and illegal jobs to do to earn money. And since BeamngDrive offers so many things to do you could really have any job here. Transport legal/illegal goods, help people who had accidents, participate in legal and illegal races and rallys...

Do you plan the carreer mode to be something like this? Or will it be more like a bunch of scenarios put together like the campaigns but with money and a garage mode inbetween the scenarios to let you buy cars and tune them and choose which one to use?

I'd personally much prefere the open world stuff XD

 

In 2012 it was said that it will be in the style of Street Legal Racing Redline (open world, buy cars used or new and upgrade/fix as necessary, many different types of events the player can enter, economy, etc...)

A couple people in the community have suggested that the maps will be linked via ports or highways as many maps have ports and WCUSA has a couple (3?) highways that continue past the map boarder

A couple of old official posts/videos mention aspects of career mode. There was a dev blog post about creating the mechanic character, I assume Over the Horizon talked about it but it's been a long time since I've read that post, and at least one of the much older videos (steam green light?) touched on it.

Well that explains why I haven't seen it yet. I found the game after steam greenlight.

Well so then I guess it will be the kind of career mode I hoped for. I hope we will see something like that soon. But I guess the game needs much more optimization before that

As long as we're here. I am hoping for things such as realistic fluid refills, oil changes, stand alone part repair/replacement where you aren't repairing the entire rig at the same time. Also, perhaps choices for lines of work with loyalty to certain factions offering higher and better payouts/rewards.

Would love to see that ruining your car in career mode means you've got to work at all these jobs to obtain the funds necessary to spend time searching for parts or even whole donor cars that perhaps someone else already wrecked in order to rebuild and repair your ride. I already know I'll have stockpiles of cars and car bodies around.

Any chance we'll possibly see a multiplayer career where the cars don't physically interact, but we could all drive and see the ghost of our friends or rivals cruising down mountain roads and freeways where we may request a challenge to race or participate in events together?

I know the last part is far fetched and the whole multiple viewpoints things along with beating a dead horse all come into mind but I think it sounds marvelous.
