I love the Miramar and the 200bx is a great car to drive so I decided to bring the two together... I present the Miramar 200BX, its still early days but it handles pretty well. There is also a drag car style custom tube frame and V8 loosely based on an LS series engine that I built in Automation (it currently uses the moonhawk V8 mesh), as well as a few other parts that aren't yet used in configurations as I already had a few made up to go with the dragster I'm working on. I hope you enjoy it guys, feel free to give suggestions / leave feed back as it always helps improve things a lot quicker than if I try to go it alone. Updated as of 14-8-17 Z coupe compatibility New sounds Drag racing body and tube frame Drag Racing 4link rear axle Multiple Lateral support optons for the Drag racing rear axle Wheelie Bars for the Drag racing rear axle Barstow v8s 514ci Big Block (basted on Barstows) Custom Stage 5 supercharger 400bx V8 (still needs some meshes completed) Cut front bumper with side mount license plate Custom Gear boxes, (2,3 and 4 speed drag racing automatics with lockup stall converter options) Air ride for the 200bx suspension (pageup + pagedown keys) New 33.5x16.5 drag slicks for the 15x14 rims. New exhausts... (jbeams still need improvement but they are there)
Nice idea! I've always liked the idea of putting more sophisticated internals into a classic car TBH not a fan of V8 swaps, so I'll have to have mine with a 200BX motor
Oh shoot I meant to sort that, thanks for the heads up... I'll update it tonight to correct the issue. Glad to hear you guys are liking it
Can you make a Bumper with a side mounted registration that isn't blocked by the intercooler please? kinda like this.
Small Update containing a new Drag configuration and some fixes to the gearbox shifter problem as stated above. Download is in the original post. Yeah mate I should be able to do one up at some stage, it wont be tonight but I'll keep it in mind. Both are unibody vehicles.... Unibody construction is when there is no separate frame from the body of the vehicle. The body is usually made of aluminum or steel that is stamped with the appropriate cross members and everything is mounted directly to it. This is the most common type of structure used today in passenger vehicles. This version does however have all of the 200bx's suspension and subframes mounted under the near original Miramar body.
Loving it, would like to be able to put that spaceframe in a standard Mirimar though.. still a great mod.
Really cool! Love the idea and it's very well done! I just found a couple things: ABS does not work, the X-type wing does not appear even though it's jbeamed and some wheels spawn slightly inside the wheel hub. All in all a really nice project, keep up the great work! edit: just noticed the rear subframe mountings (I guess that's how it's called) do not actually make contact with the body
Cheers mate. I'm working on it at the moment, the X-type spoiler was a screw up and I simply forgot to unhide it before exporting the DAE. I've made a brace to attach the rear subframe to the Miramar's underbody without having to modify the original coupe part and it will be included with the next update. Some wheels may spawn slightly inside the hub as I had to narrow the track just a little, this should be able to be corrected within the tuning tab using the track width adjustment sliders if the wheels you choose give issues. I'll check out the ABS and try to work out what is going on ASAP, this should hopefully be fixed by the next update as well
Congrats on the mod man the car handles amazing even in oversteer its really controlled and responsive.
Just updated. ABS now works, the front end is heaps less twitchy due to jbeam improvements regarding the subframe mounting and I've corrected the issue regarding the rear subframe not being connected to the underbody. Will be adding wider flares soon to cover the larger wheels and tires available. The download is in the original post. Hope you enjoy it guys. P.S. Love the feedback coming in, it really helps keep things kicking along. Its under the standard Miramar selector as it has been made as a variant of the original.
