Well, if you plan to record, I would go with the hybrid. Anyways, it's better to have space.

I can't imagine using 120GB only. Even my mom who doesn't use her computer for much at all has 300GB used.

Go for the SSHD, or maybe even save some and go for a different 1TB HDD, not SSHD.

It's not 120 gigabytes only, I have a 1 terabyte hard drive too. If the speed gain is worth it, I'll get the SSHD.

SSHDs are a smart storage type of deal, so for a while, you are not gonna notice a thing, but after a few uses, it will learn that you use those often, then put it on the solid state sector. So, just a little heads up if you expect instant speed boost.

Having used SSHDs a fair bit, and used RAID cache even more (which is supposedly far more superior to SSHD). You will notice 0 difference.
The cache is only about 8-32gb. Usually 16. It doesnt cache files, it caches disk sectors. The most frequently accessed sectors are those containing the windows registry, the pagefile, the MBR and the file allocation table leaving virtually 0 space for actual files you use.

Well, I guess some minor improvement, but that can be annoying...

What are RAID caches? Where you take the cache of all drives instead of the storage and combine it in RAID?

nah, raid cache, you throw X drives into Raid, but also add an extra SSD purely as cache.

Some laptops before SSHD would fire up a single hard drive in RAID 0 (negating the point of RAID 0) and add a 32gb SSD as the RAID cache drive. The SSD does the exact same as the cache portion of an SSHD, but with higher bandwidth available, and dedicated SSDs usually have faster flash than the cheap flash used on an SSHD. Its effectively a faster SSHD.

But there's no software firmware to choose what goes into the cache, right?
Nevermind, figured it out. All drives have some cache, and the same firmware. SSHDs just have more, faster cache. So doing that adds even more and faster cache.

purely done by the raid controller, and same in an SSHD, thats done on the onboard disk controller. They actually have no concept of files, just disk sectors. They know to retrieve a certain disk sector and thats it, they'll cache it.

I'd do that, but I don't have 200 bucks to drop on a raid controller. I'll just get the SSD.

You kids and your big white boxes, black is better. See? Even alliteration agrees.

What's she for? Looks like you have some fairly old parts and a stock Intel cooler.

Got it for 40€ second hand. I wanted a good Case that would last long. A new CPU cooler, Ram and SSD are coming soon. And I want a white desk. So yeah

NZXT S340 is a Very Good Case. I almost got one when upgrading my PC before I went nuts and bought a Phanteks one with giant windows on the side. Even then, it isn't as clean looking as your case. What components are in there?

Here you go, as I said It's more a budget PC. But I run most game at high/50fps so it's enough for me.
