So basically i'm working on a mod and had a problem with refrence nodes for the camera falling out of the right position, so in my efforts to rectify this, I lowered the node weight on the nodes. I left the node weights the same on all of the other nodes in the JBeam.

Everytime I load the car up now it constantly resets itself with the "vehicle instability detected" message and in the console it says:

Even changing the file back to what it was before doesn't fix it and I've already tried clearing the game cache.

Any input on how to solve this or what can cause these errors would be much appreciated.

Try lowering your beam spring. That can cause issues.

If you lower nodeWeight, you will have to lower beamSpring to suit, as @KJP12 said. Think of it as a boulder with a chain attached to it. If a tractor is trying to pull the chain with a lot of force, a heavy boulder should hold it back, however if the boulder turns into a smaller rock, it is going to go flying. However if that tractor would pull the same small rock with less force, it should stay there. The same principle applies to beamSpring and nodeWeight.

Changing the spring hasn't solved the problem it seems. As I mentioned before in the original post, even if i revert the values to what they were before when the mod was working still causes the errors.

Actually, reading into the console, there isn't enough radiator nodes for some reason.

Yeah I have no idea why that's happening. There's at least 8 radiator nodes so I just assumed it was the game mis-diagnosing the error. Unless "radiator" is reference to something in the Jbeams, not the actual radiator part.

Also, I didn't change anything in the Jbeam for the car'd radiator before the problem occurs, so I assumed that wasn't the problem.

Yea, I think it wants at least 2 nodes in the radiator group, however I could be wrong...

At this point, it's probably better to ask Nadeox for help. I have no idea what's going on.

Ok, so I took an older version of the mod and replaced the files I modified, carrying over the node positions only. This luckily fixed the instability problem but put me back at square one. I then changed the node weight from 10 to 1 on 3 nodes which caused the same problem to happen, so I'm gonna try messing with beam spring with those nodes and see what happens.

At least I know exactly what is causing the error.

Yeah you were right the first time, I lowered the beam spring and lone behold, stability. Only problem is that, after all this, I haven't fixed what I was trying to in the first place by lowering node weights.
