Hello to everybody. So i was playing with both drag versions of Moonhawk and Barstow and it seems to me that the wheelie bars on both cars are very high off the ground, and both cars are doing huge wheelies at the start. Specially Moonhawk is loosing grip and keeps bouncing around. Barstow has got the wheelie bar higher from the ground than Moonhawk and does very long and big wheelies. It will be good if the wheelie bars were adjustable so you will be able to set the height. I am adding some screenshots and also a video of wheelie bar in action. I think they shoud be more closer to the ground like on the video. Let me know what you think Video: (start is at 2m 10s)
i tried making wheelie bars adjustable in the same way that the spring in the video works but when you try to adjust it puts to much stress on other parts of the vehicle and makes it deform. (badly). Anyways i second this idea as it would be a cool addition and much more useful for drag cars.
Got you guys covered. This has been addressed with Pro-Drag Moonhawk. Doing Barstow also - but so far only modeling is done. I like the idea of adjustable too... hmm Running without NOS in video.
I've said it many times before... BeamNG would be perfect for sim drag racing. Almost everyone can run two cars at once, plus all of the chassis and tire flex really comes into play, and all of the car modifications allow you to really make it your own. I'd love to see a fully working drag racing come to this game!
Yes that is exactly how i imagine it, but atleast the wheelie bar should be closer to the ground in game already (better adjustable). But on the Barstow it is very high off the ground. It does not help for better launch it only prevents the car from scratching rear i think.
I'll see if I can make one adjustable at some point. I am liking the idea for being able to tune that. It's hard to see, but what happens with the big wheelies from high wheelie bar, is that the car goes completely airborn at max wheelie. The rear drive tires will leave the pavement surface. For 100ft times it's worse than tire-slip, and if it happened IRL.. well.. You probably won't be winning many races, unless it's a wheelie competition
