i was just looking at the screenshots and the funnels... they look off. i have a model of this ship and the funnels are closer and slightly tilted. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5d/Titanic_side_plan_annotated_English.png
well its the first thing i done in blender. its been tried. PLus when done. (eventually since on a little break to relax before i continue) It wont all be jbeamed sadly, only the hull.
Hey, could you give us at least a rough estimate? Like is this gonna take a year, or just a month or so.
Ok, i think its time i started re-doing the jbeam today. i got the references, and by the way, here is the size of it. thanks beamng admins yet again,
About the vote for working smokestacks, I think you should just go with two version, one working, one not. So people that want to run this at 16fps can, without the smoke. Otherwise itd be a nice wholesome 5fps. Probably.
Well, the frames is slowed down by the amount of nodes, not by polygons. Most system's graphics cards are powerful enough for all the polygons. The problem is with the nodes halting the ability to send graphics updates to the card due to the CPU getting used too much.
I mean there's barely any beams and nodes. so i have to well.. guess. so i might make the beams too small or big. but at least it'll be done. abnd its only to the hull so it will be able to sit itself more accurate.
