The 1970-71 Marcos Mantis. Ugly and weird, hence it was forgotten. ...until 1997. This one was forgotten as well. I have an entire book called World's Worst Cars and it's full of weird stuff like this.
The '47 Saab 92 prototype. I believe it did star in a Top Gear episode, where they explained that it was a terrible car.
My uncle had one of those, it looked just the same but it was green, that same year too, he sold it because they now have 5 kids, and they needed more room. but i will tell you it was a stick, and that thing was fast
I think that the Talbot Tagora is a forgotten car. This was the result of Chrysler developing a new car for Simca, until Peugeot bought Simca and decided to resurrect the Talbot name for it. The Tagora was meant to be a luxurious car. It was another attempt at making a French executive car. But it had a few problem... It was made from 1980 to 1983, after the 1979 oil crisis, which meant that filling up the gas tank would be even more expensive than planned. But the Tagora had an even bigger problem... One of its competitors was the Peugeot 604... Produced by Peugeot, the owner of Talbot. Sellers were already having a hard time selling 604s at that time, so they did nothing to prevent the Tagora from failing. It was able in four versions : the GL, the GLS, the DT and the SX (the SX being the top of the line). It was available with a 4 cylinders, a V6 and a 4 cylinders diesel engine. Only 20 133 models were sold (against 153 252 models for the 604, which was sold from 1975 to 1985). Being more obscure than the 604, the Tagora is now available for ridiculous prices on the second-hand market. While a nice 604 will now be priced at 6000€, a nice Tagora will only cost 2000€, maybe a bit more. Not a bad price, given the fact the Talbot was meant to be an expensive 4 door saloon.
yeah i saw one in an Argos car park, quite a boxy car actually --- Post updated --- looks like someone inflated the hopper
We got all the generations of the Legend with the exception of the 2nd gen sedan (the Coupé version was available though). I submit the almighty J-body offspring, the Daewoo Espero Does anyone outside of Central and Eastern Europe remember seeing one?
