Extremely basic question, imbarrased to even ask...

My son has watched you tube videos of what I believe to the game discussed in this forum. Ybr's videos of BeamNG.drive. Just want to make sure I get the right thing, not just an add-on, or a piece of what he's been watching.

I finally got a computer at home that I believe will sufficiently run something like this. I'd like to get it for him, but I am not sure where to start. Where I am a little confused is on the home page to this site, it looks like you can purchase the game I believe he has been drooling over for years, but the purchase button indicates it is to purchase an early access version of the game? If this is the case, it may not be the same game, as he has been watching this one person play with this for years, not sure how it'd be early access.

Even though the game has been in development for a long time, It's still in early access, due to bugs and some glitches still being present and the game just not being done. You will still get what everyone else is getting for the game.

 

While it's still early access it's not a bugged to hell alpha version. Bugs or glitches are rather uncommon I wanna say.

AFAIK YBR does videos on major game updates, if you're not sure on what the game is like right now make sure to watch his video on the update 0.9.

Yes, it is the same game. This game is still in early access, even though it's been in development for almost five years now. So yes, you will get what WhyBeAre is playing. I remember first getting this game, too!

 

Same game. If it isn't what he expected or it lags too much, you can always ask for a refund

 

the game runs on Steam, a programme you'll have to download and make an account on if you want updates. It's essentially like the modern version of a box of pc disk games. If you buy it and find it too bugged or laggy, then you can refund on Steam if you have played under two hours I think...
It is indeed the same game, is constantly updated and runs well, even though it is technically 'Early Acces'

 

Its the same game but , to get some of the vehices and worlds you download mods from here

 

ONLY download mods on this site, stay away from other sites to avoid disappointment!
