I haven't worked on the covet itself a lot lately since I have to decide whether I want to add more things and work on the mesh or make it ready for a release, that release won't be next week since I have to do a lot of stuff with the parts anyway so it works out of the box , after that, configs etc.
Made some red springs today and while doing that I decided that I will be using a different slot for skins on this body, maybe even making the car seperate since it really is very different to the stock covet and it doesnt even share a lot of parts with it anymore I could also leave the skin stuff like it is now, but then you can see the stock covet's skins in the selector but you wont see them on the car and vice versa with the rally skins made for this body on the stock covet. You may decide I also worked on various other parts tonight, updated the tires(wip), tweaked the rallylights and some variables in the tuning menu
UPDATE: Added Licenseplates. Moved fueltanks so it is in the right position now(behind the side intakes) Improved hood deformation Improved parts of the mesh and materials (thx @Bernd ) Improved some skins Improved double wishbone Changed interior material so it has a nice stripe and lettering Fixed console errors I probably forgot to mention stuff but it has been improved a lot
Finally gave it a proper double wishbone mesh, edited the swaybar(not on pics), edited jbeam for exhaust so smoke comes from both sides, fixed rear halfshaft not moving with suspension and currently thinking about the engine mounts and trying to fix the rear mudflaps jbeam(again :| )
Before I go into full rambling mode, I'll just say: Amazing work! Keep it up! I honestly can't wait to try this car out ingame, but please, don't rush it. Stick to how you've been doing things and the mod will be awesome! I loved the MG Metro 6R4 in Group B rallying and to see it here makes my life complete, I don't think I'll be using any of car except this and my old pessima configurations. I can see all the little details you've gone into and it makes me very happy, and the rear mounted engine in a compact car like the Covet makes it awesome already. I really enjoy checking back here on the forums to see images of it, making my excitement peak everytime I see it. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, keep in mind that this is inspired by it and not a complete 1 on 1 copy I hope I can finish it soon
Quick question, just wondering, how long have you been working on this since when you first got the idea to do this?
Quite a long time, like 8 months? If you include the time i spent making the covet 4wd with nahuelito007's v6 mod
Yes, some are. I know, everyone knows, can't do much about it right know. Maybe reading the thread before posting stuff?
