From the FAQ page on the Wiki:
Currently we can only focus on the Windows platform and we cannot say whether or not we will be able to support other platforms in the future.

Besides, I don't know a lot about computers, but I believe the reason why BeamNG can't come for Macs is not because of the hardware, but because of the way BeamNG is coded or something.

I might be mistaken too. In fact, I probably am. However, the quote speaks for itself.

the game needs to be "finished" before support for other computers is made

    Look at the OS distribution.

Look at the Mac hardware ownership distribution.

Explain how it could ever be profitable and not get flooded with complaints about performance.

Particularly when the mac is not powerful enough for vr. A gtx1050ti is more powerful than the most powerful mac excluding the iMac Pro. This vr on mac thing, you have to use their metal 2 API, not opengl or direct x and their demos looked pretty poor quality.

Only the iMac Pro has significant graphics performance

And starting at $5000, it isn't exactly the most affordable computer. However, by PC Gamer's theoretical build log, it isn't overpriced (source). $1300 of that is eaten up by a 5k monitor, though. You could save at least $500 by opting to get a 4k monitor, like this Acer Predator.

Should also note, radeon pro lines on OSX will only have metal 2 support, no opengl or Vulcan
