Three "Compact" American cars that have captured the heart of (almost) everybody.

    1979-1983 Bruckell Manhattan
    // AMC Spirit

The Hobbit comes with either a 4-Speed Manual or a 3-Speed Automatic Gearbox and a range of engines:

    A Imported 121 Cui I4 /81HP (1977, Bought from ETK)
    A "Economic" 232 Cui I6 /91HP
    A "Medium" 258 Cui I6 /112HP
    A "Sporty" 403 Cui V8 /122 HP

The Hobbit was a affordable yet fun to drive compact car that Bruckell tried to market towards young people living in crowded cities,
giving them a car that would be easy to navigate through narrow city streets whilst delivering a maximum amount of utility for the size. The Car was a medium success but car magazines rated its I6 engines as underpowered and sluggish whilst the young people liked it due to lower fuel consumption and reliability. In 1979 Bruckell Replaced the Hobbit with the Manhattan.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The comfortable Solaris will have a 5-Speed Manual and a 3-Speed Automatic Gearbox and following engines:

    A "Economic" 232 Cui I6 /94HP
    A "Medium" 258 Cui I6 /121HP
    A "Sporty" 403 Cui V8 /132 HP

Based on the Hobbit Bruckell Produced the Solaris from 1975-1979, it shared the engines with its cheaper brother but had an new Italian designed body. Inspired by the equally crowded even narrower European Cities the Italian designers gave the Solaris exceptionally large windows a giant curved Windshield and back window. Marketed at young people and small families the Solaris really let the sunshine in, and gave a great view of the cars surroundings. Whilst the passengers could look around and observe their surroundings as never before the driver had an unsurpassed view of the road and traffic greatly improving the Solaris' security.
Still it was a sort of shopkeeper. It had its fans but many families chose a larger Station wagon or full-size sedan instead resulting in a low volume of sales. Today its a rare collectible and has fans all over the world.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Manhattan, the most performant of the bunch will sport a 4/5-Speed Manual and a 3-Speed Automatic Gearbox and a great engine variety:

A Imported 121 Cui I4 /81HP (1977, Bought from ETK for the Hobbit)
    A "Small" 151 Cui I4 /85HP (Gavril Iron Pig I4)
    A "Economic" 232 Cui I6 /95HP
    A "Medium" 258 Cui I6 /115HP
    A "Sporty" 403 Cui V8 /128 HP
    A "Performant" 195 Cui V6 /193 HP //Supercharged

Initially intended as a Liftback version of the Hobbit the Manhattan was presented as a successor on the Utah Auto Show in 1978.
It shared the market and the platform with its predecessor and kept the price tag low learning from the Solaris mistake,
With a an updated body design and a new suspension the Manhattan was an instant success as it more nimble and agile than the solid Hobbit. Driven forward by the great response on the Auto Show Bruckell focused on the Manhattan and started a new performance oriented line of Cars to compete with Ibishu's GTz line. The new Manhattan BPM (Bruckell Performance Model) name resembled two other Abbreviations one being BPM as Beats per minute, or RPM (Revolutions per minute) the performance line implied a high pace, speed and adrenaline and a responsive engine only in its name. It came with a 195Cui / 3.2L Supercharged V6 that delivered the Performance the aggressive looking little car promised. Also the Manhattan BPM that came in a Black/Orange "BPM" or a White/Black/Orange "Speed Stripes Livery" easily dominated the Ibishu Top of the line GTz on the Hirochi Speedway for its entire production run. Selling a lot of cars in 1979-81 the sales plummeted in 82 as the market was saturated. With too little changes to give happy owners of the hobbit that has proven to be the most reliable vehicle on the road a reason to replace their old car and a to high pricetag to buy the BPM Variant the Manhattans procudtion ended in 1983

I hate to say this, but I'm sure I'll say it better than others, but it'd be very difficult to find someone interested in doing these. They'd instead tell you to put this in vehicle suggestions, which I say don't, since that thread is very useless.

I Originally did but decided to also make an individual thread because Vehicle Suggestion is indeed useless
If it dies nobody will care and in 2019 someone will bump it.

But maybe I'm lucky and somone does care :)

If I was a good modder, I probably would take interest in these, though I'd want to change their brands. Bruckell has connections with companies like Chrysler and Dodge. AMC was a rival of those said companies, so I would want to come up with a new company for them.

But since I'm nowhere near creating new vehicles, I'm unable to take these suggestions and make something of them. :(

I do think BeamNG would benefit from cars like these. We'd have something to go alongside the Covet when it comes to compact cars.

Thats what i thought too, and youre right with the new company.
Any ideas? I had the idea of BMV or BMC but i dont like them
and maybe if were lucky and find enough people that support this maybe the devs give it a shot.
3 cars are pretty much but a pacer or a Gremlin would be great as the next official as it fills a gap in beam just as you said. An american counterpart to the covet because for now we only have muscles or a fullsize.

I also would try myself but have no pc that can run a good modelling software smoothly.
Also concerning the Pacer theres a Driver SF model.

It would be nice to have these in game but there's one thing, if you could ever re-brand it as BMC, you wouldn't be able to do it since BMC is a Turkish truck/bus company, in case of you didn't know.

Otherwise Bruckell brand sounds nice for these cars, if only anyone is interested to make these of course.

Looks like a good idea, but personally I think we already had underpowered american cars like those in game. Also, there are a few compacts in the mods section such as the ETK Fein https://www.beamng.com/threads/etk-fein.36363/

I think we need more european cars in-game such as:

As kenneth Stated AMC was competing with brands like dodge or chevy and bruckell represents those so i dont think it does.
And no i did not know BMC

Well, we need these too and the three i listed were not only "Under-powered Americans" but a very special attempt to build a compact. And all three of them are lovable unique collectors cars. For sure BeamNG is lacking quite a lot of vehicle types so I'm with you on the Volvo thing.
The ETK Fein is a VW Golf II has absolutely nothing to do with a Pacer or Gremlin. So i could argue there's a ETK I Station Wagon so that need for the Volvo is satisfied too. But it isn't.
So just leave the Pacer be and dont call it an "underpowered american" (its not)
Its really a quirky little car with a cool story behind it.

    AMC 4EVR!

BMC sounds a bit obscure, so that would explain why me and Otto von Biscuit never heard of it. While the cars could work as Bruckells, I feel like it would be better to come up with a new brand for them, which could be a competitor for Bruckell and Gavril.

There's a chance we may get cars like Volvos, if the devs decide to spare Jargl from the possibility of dying in the concept stage.

I do have some ideas for what the brand for these cars could be called, AMC was formed when Hudson and Nash merged together. Perhaps a name similar to theirs could work?

    East River Motors
    Hornet Motors
    Rambler Motorcars

I don't know about Rambler, because according to Wikipedia, it was its own brand at one time. Those others sound good, I especially like Dash.

    Here's two of mine:
North American Motors, NAM for short.
Union Motors Incorporated, UMI for short.

I wouldn't be against having such vehicles, since I really do like those three cars.

    Are you still developing?

And well, there was quite a few car makes that are extinct now. Dont know about rambler, inspired off the Nash Rambler which was their first Car
    --- Post updated ---
And after i looked it up, indeed Rambler was a real brand ironically enough one of AMCs home brands. Too sad that we cant use it. would have been funny

Theres a Russian page which has a lot of 3d models from games such as Forza, Granturismo, Project cars, Driver SF...
    The page is called Gamemodels.ru
I found an AMC Pacer from Driver SF with great textures
I also found the Talbot Sunbeam and a Dodge Omni from Forza. Both cars could be from the same fictional brand too (NAM, UMI, whatever...)
Feel free to do whatever you want with this models, but as always credit the author of them (Forza, etc)
    Talbot Sunbeam
AMC Pacer as it is in-game
    Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon

If I was even a semi-competent mod maker I would take a stab at this but as I am not I can merely suggest that these cars would be from Gavril as apposed to Bruckell
