Worst Model you have ever found on turbosquid

Hi,

I have some models on turbosquid, and love it as a model hosting platform, but some of the models they host are just awful. This one caught my eye:

I mean, what the hell was he thinking lol.

Jut thought it would be fun to submit all the worst ones you have ever seen on sketchup warehouse or turbo-squid. (i don't expect a huge response lol)

 

Looks like one of those kit car shells that have been left in a too hot kiln/oven. The front (?) section almost looks quite nice, actually.

The rest of his models don't look like complete anus though, which I find odd.

I'll look around and post any monstrosities.

Great thread, lets hate on peoples creations.

 

As a student/hobbyist 3D artist myself, I can kinda see how you would take issue with the concept of this thread, however...
All of the above models are of just truly abysmal quality, the equivalent of a traditional pen and paper stick doodle.
The quality itself, however, is not the real issue.
The reason I personally got a laugh from this thread is that the people responsible for the above doodles seem to think that they are of a quality level that would make them desirable to other people as serious art assets, a few of them even had the inexperience/bravado to ask money for such low quality "assets," which is akin to attempting to sell a stick figure doodle in an art gallery.
While I agree that pointless vitriol isn't generally something that is valued in the 3D community, those who upload their models to sites like Turbosquid are directly and deliberately placing their work in the line of critique. Even if it's just us having a bit of a laugh at them.

Sadly, I don't have any amusingly poor models to contribute along with that block of text.

 

yeah, let's go find youtube videos of people who are new at playing instruments and go laugh at them, too. i mean, they uploaded it to youtube so it's in the line of fire.

 

While your responses toward this topic are understandable and totally justifiable, amateur musicians performing on YouTube are not comparable to a handful of somewhat pretentious individuals on Turbosquid with the audacity to charge money for doing very poor, or next to no work.

 

a total of three vehicles linked here so far are not free.

one out of those three looks great.

one other is designed to be low poly, and the last is a bit silly looking but nothing to be made fun of.

 

The inclusion of the police car was my poor judgement, I was 50/50 on the Batmobile-ish vehicle, and the asking price of the last model is $10, which I believe is something to giggle at.

Otherwise, my argument stands for the other models.

I understand your argument, but this thread was not created to collect hate on peoples creations. This thread is merely an amusing collection of models we have found in our time. I understand you saying everyone starts somewhere, infact my first model was considerably worse than some of the ones on this thread. The main difference is i did not upload mine to a model sharing website, i looked at it, laughed and kept trying.
There is a fine line between hate and comedy and i don't believe this crosses it.
Despite that, I understand your predicament and won't be starting anything like this in the future is it causes offence.
