    Just sayin' but if you do make smokestacks, the fourth is a vent and doesn't emit smoke

    Thing is. It's the Titanic, not Olympic.

    As a guy from NI, I know why the titanic actually sank. The containing walls that made it 'unsinkable' had no top, so the water just poured over each wall and sunk it. Not a weak hull, not a containing door failure, just a design flaw.

    The Titanic was designed to only have up to four watertight compartments breached. However, when it struck the iceberg, five of them were slashed open. Maybe if four or less watertight compartments were damaged, the ship maybe could have survived.

    That doesn't make any sense ;_;

    though on the Titanic, less lifeboats than people aboard and there was a safety training session cancelled by the Captain. Makes more sense now thinking about it.

    it kinda does, since only 30-32 lives lost on that ship and 1,489 or similar number on the titanic. but brittanic was safer, captain left last.

    Actually, one of the main reasons people died during the Britannic's sinking is because a lifeboat got sliced up by the ship's still operating propellers. The props were still active because they attempted to beach the ship, but that failed.
