I get over 100FPS with high settings, but the game stutters horribly - HELP!

If I run this game on Grid Map, with high settings (but without extra things like AA and DoF), and turn off Vsync, I get as high as 250-ish FPS, in full-screen 1080p, and 80FPS at the lowest, yet the game stutters at an almost unplayable level!

Why is this? Pressing 'J' barely helped at all. At one point, I was able to get it to where it was stuttering moderately; but, most of the time, it's unplayable.

I think the game is glitched as a whole... I cleared cache and everything, BTW.

    My more-than-adequate specs:
    2x 2.93 GHz 6-core X5670 Xeons
    32GB DDR 3 ECC 1333MHz RAM
    ASUS GTX 1060 OC 6GB
    Windows 7 SSD

    -Thanks

Try using an FPS limiter. It's in the options. It would lower FPS, but remove the stuttering.

you might want to cap the fps to 90 or even 60. beam likes to stutter and drop frames, its a bit of an issue. there is no real reason to turn off vsync. it just keeps the fps at what your monitor can display

Aim for 80-something, as that's what was supposedly the lowest he got.

I forgot to mention that it stutters either way. I was just further presenting the severity of this issue by showing that I had way more FPS than I needed, yet was presented with bad stuttering. The stuttering persists no matter where I limit the FPS. Also, no matter the game settings, there's stuttering to some degree, at the least.

The game stutters either way - not sure why. I removed the cap to see how high the FPS could go; and, apparently, even with a frame rate that could never go below my monitor's maximum refresh rate, the game played terribly.

This was Grid Map, and there was more stuttering on it than there was with East Coast USA, for some reason. I'll true a pure grid, but it may be the same. I get stuttering, plus a consistent chopping that's ever so slightly noticeable.

you may need to update your drivers, re-install the game, or simply reboot your computer. the game runs fine for me and aside from having a GTX 1070 your computer out performs mine, while mine has no issues.

    Do this:

Load Gridmap (do not move the camera or the vehicle)
Go to options > user-interface > enable 'Advanced Mode'
In the sidemenu there should be a new button named 'PERFORMANCE'
Press it. Then click the 'Hide UI for 10 seconds' button on the top-right corner.
Wait until the UI returns back, then press ALT+O and paste the link for the image here.

Go to the BeamNG.Drive directory (Steam/Steamapps/Common/BeamNG.Drive/Bin64) and run the 'banana-bench.x64.bat' file.
When done, take a screenshot and post the link here.

Drivers are up to date. I guess I try a re-install or something.
