Yeah, I also think it's a little too strong, and I can tell it slightly pulls to the right which can get annoying at high speeds. I really like the attention to detail and everything, this is probably one of the best mods I've ever used. Here's a tune that seems to straighten it out a little better
Fix your sound issue by making the minPitch on your 'rev' sound to be 0 as such: Code: ["group", "filename", "profile", "nodeName", "source", "factor", "offset", "minVolume", "minPitch", "maxVolume", "maxPitch", "pitchBlendInStartValue", "pitchBlendInEndValue", "volumeBlendInStartValue", "volumeBlendInEndValue", "volumeBlendOutStartValue", "volumeBlendOutEndValue", "volumeModifiers", "pitchModifiers"], ["default", "vehicles/satsuma210/sounds/Satsuma_Rev.wav", "AudioDefaultLoop3D", "ENGINE", "rpm", 1, 0, 4, -> 0<-, 9.5, 1.25, 500, "MAXRPM", 900, 1750, 999998, 999999, ["engine_throttle"], [] ], Drop the arrows, of course A rule of thumb: Always make minimum pitches be 0!
The 3.0 version will have better front axle with realistic alignment. It will be released soon. Sure. I'll start making the pickup next after I have released the 3.0 van update. After the pickup, there's only the most difficult convertible body to do and then I can decide what custom parts I'll make for the Satsuma. I'm planning to add some race, drag and demolition derby parts. I have already fixed the minPitch, but thanks anyway. Rusty is making a new sound for the wankel engine and I have edited his old rev sound for the I4s and the result is quite similar to the one fufsgfen posted on the previous page, but with proper looping.
Sure. It's easy to make live axle conversion to the existing front axle and the leaf springs are simple to move over the axles to get more ground clearance. The offroad version would look something like the M72 4x4 model of the GAZ M20 "Pobeda"
Amazing! Rented one of these out on a trip to poland... Drives very smoothly and is comparable to american cars of the era (although slower and a little more sluggish as its a 2st I4 that swallows even really bad fuel (66 Octane was the Russian standard with 71 and 80 delivered to the police and the KGB only) also its a really beautiful car when well maintained.
I also really like these old Russian cars. It would be awesome to have the Pobeda in-game. There is one available from multiple Russian modding sites and it has pretty good model, but sadly the jbeam is from some ancient version of the Grand Marshal. I was considering to make a whole new jbeam for it, but I have no idea who the original author of the model is. The same model is used in dozens of mods for GTA IV and San Andreas and even in some Spintires mod.
It would be, and tbh a mike94 brand model would be even better to have. i think its somehow funny how the russian cars especially in the 50s and 60s mimicked the arch-enemies cars (US Ofc)
mike94 updated Satsuma 210 '58 with a new update entry: New van body, LWB frame, big suspension improvements, new wheels and much more Read the rest of this update entry...
Tää uus päivitys parans modia huomattavasti, toi paku on aivan paras versio tosta. Millonkas se lavaautoversio on tulossa ja oisko mitenkään mahdollista että tekisit tosta myös avoversion (Tee se itse tyylinen)
Awesome update. Little bug repot tho : on the van version, using the left blinker makes both right and left blinkers go on. Apart from that, it's awesome to see such a high number of parts and configurations available. This is truly amazing.
Awesome update, i just posted my very enthusiastic review. As you are very receptive to constructive and argumented crits, i still think, while the front end is now awesome, that the rear end of the minivan version is way too strong. I've tested in several situations depicted in the following image. Modern car are still almost like butter when hit in the back, but those old cars are just tin cans. when going reverse at max speed, 20 km/h, a hit in a tree just make a little damage and the the bumper falls on the ground. Same goes for a wall, the car should be way more damaged. then my favorite test the 100 km/h running Oldsfullsize, on a parked car with handbrake : the frame bends up like it should, but the body detaches from the frame and the roof stays straight. I think that here it's really a question of having the body very strong. The Olds should have entered the car almost to the driver seat with such a speed and such a mass. At least, nobody was hurt
Dunno whether its a client side issue or not but on the deluxe Wagon the rear doorpanels are see through in orbit view. (you see through the door from the inside)
Right blinker in the Van version not working. Left blinker turn on hazard lights. Also Wagon version have weak or wrong "placed" licence plate light
Lavamalli tulee pian, toivottavasti parin viikon päästä ja minä teen avomallin heti sen jälkeen. Thanks. I must have assigned wrong material to the right tail light. Thank for testing it. I think the rear body is too strong too. Will be fixed in the next update. By the way, I'm really looking forward to the 2.0 version of your Olds. I forgot to change flexbody names for the wagon deluxe door panels after I raised the wagon rear window line a bit. Will be fixed soon. I moved some tailgate nodes to fix the cargo clipping through the tailgate and it looks like the license plate light is now inside the tailgate. Also the right taillight has wrong material. Will be fixed soon.
