If I may add. The body panels on the tail gates should actually be breaking more at the body mounts, because the panels are screwed onto the back of the door cab panel. It's also tougher to break them off the door panel unless you get 30 feet of air and land it on the wheelie bar. Just something you might add in the next update. Also, I'd start adding more in-cab props, because I'm the type of guy that uses the cab camera more than others. Love this update BTW guys. This truck gets better and better ever time.
These updates look really good and it's definitely getting some much needed details added. Now, this is just my observation and you definitely don't have to agree with me. I do agree with that guy, driving with BKTs is absolutely like driving on a very muddy track. I know the stereotype of BKTs are that they are weak and have no traction, but they have a lot more traction than this. Here is a video of Soldier Fortune traction rolling on a standard dirt track with BKT tires And Metal Mulisha, also on BKTs (1:57 in the video) I don't know how BeamNG actually works with tires and I don't know if it's possible to traction roll the monster truck in this game, but I think the BKTs need to have significantly more grip than they do in this update. Other than that, I think the update is great. Again, just my observation, I could be completely wrong and seem like an idiot.
I guess I'm too observant, I spotted a small texture glitch on the rad, it may not be glitched, but it still looks funky
Mind you nothing has changed in terms of pure tire traction with this update. Increasing the friction coefficient of tires could improve grip significantly (and potentially lead to traction rolling), but also cause tires to stick into obstacles a lot more frequently.
on one hand, we want the tires to have better traction but on the other, we don't want them to stick to everything. way tires behave on different surfaces has changed with 0.9 in that off-road tires do VERY well off-road but behave poorly on tarmac and vice versa with racing slicks.
real 3d modeled shock mounts make the suspension much stronger, tires that are now compliant with the 0.9 update. working (though very tiny) gauges, and more power. this is a great update all around! the only thing i would change is maybe have the tires have a bit more grip on dirt, because as it is i find myself getting into a few unintentional donuts. --- Post updated ---
It's one of those legacy things of the original mod I always forget to fix. Thanks for pointing it out. Differentiated grip was implemented in the 1.03 update of the truck. Judging by the reports, it can probably use some tweaks yet. Noted! Oh, the power of suggestion! New shock mounts are purely visual elements! EDIT - I'm testing some fixes for the side panels/fender breaking off too easily. I'll try to address the concerns about tires in the next update, too.
This mod is flippin awesome. On top of the Trophy Truck I've been craving something as big as this beast. But I gotta say, it's curious to me that you only get a 2-Auto as a transmission option in it. Can't monster trucks go way faster than 60? Seems like the one option we're getting is having us miss out on some crazy air opportunities.
Actually, no, the Coan 2-Speed auto is pretty much standard nowadays. Top speed is currently 80 mph (stock tuning), which is also more or less spot on.
i had no issues with side panels falling off any easier. maybe the hood is still a bit fragile, but that's about it. the suspension held up better than it did before the update. would the change in tires help soften the blows to give the illusion that the suspension is stronger? --- Post updated --- the map is called mega fs of doom. here's a link to it: https://www.beamng.com/resources/mega-fs-of-doom.2157/
To everyone having issues with traction just go into the vehicle config the change the tires to either goodyear or ukraine. should help or it just might be a placebo effect, not sure haha --- Post updated --- actually im pretty sure it is a placebo effect now lol
