1. 1955-56 Ford F100 4x4 conversion Something useful and reliable, and able to go to pretty much anywhere I'm willing to take a road-legal vehicle. I'd want one in better condition than this, but not so nice that I'd be scared of ruining the (yellow) paint job. 2. Ford L-series The workhorse of my ideal fleet, the L-series would likely be tasked with maintaining the large building/property required to store itself and the other vehicles, and ensuring that there's always something on hand to move other cars or heavy parts. I'd like an early model with the eggcrate grille and round headlights - that's what my grandfather drove at one point. Paint yellow, apply period-correct decal package. 3. 1997 Ford Ranger Flareside My first toy truck was an F150, and I think that may have coloured my preferences more than I realize. In any case, this truck would have to be yellow, have to be from the 1997 model year, and have to have chrome steel wheels. White lines or lettering on the tires would be a bonus. Probably the daily driver. 4. 1975 Kenworth W900 Since we're taking a hard right turn into fantasyland, I may as well include the Kenworth. I'd have a heck of a time fighting with the transmission, and I'd have to get a special license, but it'd be worth it for the inevitable Smokey & the Bandit road trip. I probably wouldn't want a tanker though, maybe a dump truck. 5. John Deere 544 Is it a bad thing that my dream garage looks more like an equipment auction? A John Deere loader is something I've always wanted, and as cool as it would be to go up to the 544E, it's a little big for my intended use - clearing snow in an effort to recoup some of the costs involved in this crazy venture. Fortunately, the 544B in the above image is more compact and sold for a little over $2500. Provided that the engine and some other vital parts are still running, heavy equipment is dirt-cheap and simple to restore. This'd be the project, but tracking down the missing cab doors would probably drive me crazy!
