This is a list of vehicles I would like to be added, 02' Chevy Suburban, Tahoe, and Silverado. 09' Honda Accord 17' Dodge Durango Now RV's, 10' Jayco Jay Feather floor plan 23B Otherwise, reply to this for anyone else's suggestions.
The 02 Suburban is a bit too similar to the Roamer, so maybe a bit newer like 2008 maybe? Yeah I want a new mid size sedan too. Sure. Yeah I like that one too. Yeah we need more old cars. But keep in mind that real licensed cars will not be in BeamNG as official vehicles.
Dear Tonny, Please consult the official rules for the Ideas and suggestions forum, straight from one of the game's founding developers. Note that it explicitly states: In future, please also consider using the Vehicle Suggestions thread. There are many forum users who consider this to be the sole appropriate thread for vehicle suggestions. While it has its problems, vehicle suggestions posted in that thread are less likely to result in arguments.
Just to explain here, I was dumb and thought the Vehicle Suggestions area was outdated and unused. But my stupidity didn't see a Scroll button, so you can just use that area.
Actually you were correct. The thread has become very irrelevant. When it comes to what it contributed to BeamNG's development, it was the Gavril T-Series, and Gabester had a post there with what his idea of what a future car would be like, and that was about a few years ago. I'm highly in favor of the Vehicle Suggestions thread either being deleted or locked.
Then there will be 9000 "I WAN DIS CAR NAO" threads. The Vehicle Suggestions thread makes a good trashcan.
And that sadly means that those suggestions, especially really good ones, never see the light of day. Operating by that logic means that suggesting new vehicles is pointless.
One: If we remove the vehicle suggestions thread... the forums will overflow with terrible car requests Two: I actually look through that thread, and one of the cars (Suggested by @YellowRusty) is on my modding to-do list.
The Vehicle suggestions thread is in need of an overhaul. We may have to move to something more akin to a suggestion form in order to keep out the licensed vehicles and strings of low-effort "picture posts". If it's not worth your time to ensure the vehicle archetype is not already in-game, research the parts and possible variants, and present the case for its addition to the game, then why should it be worth somebody's time to make it actually happen?
That's actually an example of a good post. The reason it became infamous has more to do with where and how often it was posted. If we could get it so that posting a suggestion was just difficult enough to keep out the lazy people, but not so difficult that it discouraged everybody, then the quality of suggestions would rise significantly.
