We do a lot of these weird shaped Peugeot cylinder heads at my workplace, I'd check for any dirt and grime inside the coolant tunnel thingies on both the head and the block.
I think I might have talked a friend out of a set of 38X13.50R15 Super Swampers for the Blazer, We'll find out in the morning though.
You'll need quite a bit of lift to fit 38's won't you? And on 15 inch wheels, that's a lot of sidewall.
Motor is built and back in. Going to have to put a bigger carburetor on it though. Stock just isn't cutting it, not even with the biggest possible jet. Here's the other carb that's going on it.

Well I'm planning on getting a 6 inch lift, and with it I could theoretically fit 40's, but they would really close to shredding the fenders. I was planning on going with 35's, but I can't say no to a set of basically free 38's. (Until the 10 bolt lets go and I've got to try and find a full float 14 from a 3/4 or one ton) This is what a 6 inch lift with 38's looks like.
today I wire wheeld the roof of my firebird to get all the rust and bondo off. I found a hole from a dent puller under the bondo so I think a tree branch fell on it at some point and I salvaged a damaged garage in a box to make a car port for it so no more water comes in through the t tops. my neighbor is getting a field fresh 74 for free from a friend, he is cutting the roof off to fix his camaro and we get the engine and whatever else we need off of it, it is free because it has been there since 1990 so the bottom half is likely gone
late to the party: is it missing a right side mirror? or is that just the angle? First thing i noticed was the badge though. edit yea theres no mirror. decreased brightness and saturated image. Saturating it helped to see if there was any yellow behind windscreen. maybe a tad bit in the front window on the door?
yea I did, I used 3 cans of brake clean to flush all the crap out, my table changed colour once I was done lol, I cant get it to start now, we spent 2 hours trying to figure out why it would only fire on carb cleaner and that was because I forgot to plug the injector in , oops, now it just farts out the intake the timing is waay out, and not the engine timing just the ignition timing but we cant get it right

So just recently sold my old D100 and took my daily off the road in favour of taking on this project. 1983 VW Caddy. It originally had a 1.6NA diesel, PO took that out in favour of a gas motor but only got as far as setting the gas motor into the bay. Purchased it a week or two ago and have started canabalising my MK2 Jetta for the engine/trans and anything else this needs. That car was swiss cheese with rust, and this truck is pretty well spotless minus a crusty floor. The truck right after it came out the trailer, it was covered in birds nests and other dirt. In a past life it was a farm truck only brought out in summer and stored in the barn during winter. The rear of the truck with this greasy exhaust, one hangar is undone hence why one looks off. The truck and the donor vehicle, my 91 Jetta. And then started into the Jetta, getting some of the bits I want to sell off as well as removing the motor. The hoist is only around the bumper bar as thats what we did to get it on the blocks its sitting on. Didn't go under the car no worries lol. And as it sits right now ready to have the timing belt done, decades of oil leaks cleaned, all new gaskets etc. If anyone is interested I will keep updated with pictures and information. Going to be a fun little truck all said and done.
My cousin has three of those little VW trucklets, all three are the same shade of light blue, and all with the little diesel engine. Two of them are sitting, getting slowly reclaimed by the earth, but the best one he uses as as his "commuter" vehicle, for going back and forth to work with.
Installed tow strap. Removed tow strap. Bulkhead it's on i decided didn't look sturdy enough and it's in such a position that you can't get tools in to tighten the bolt properly so it started to wiggle loose just by me grabbing and shaking the end of the strap. Weekend I'm borrowing a drill so i can punch a pair of holes in the bumper support and throw a longer bolt through it, I'll have space for tools then too
I got a fix it ticket for my straight pipe last week. So i went on ebay and bought the cheapest catback exhaust i could find. It's of good quality. I had to have a flange welded onto my cat because of shady previous repairs. But then it bolted right up and sounded like shit right away haha. Sounds like your average Honda ricer boy car. Looks good though.
I'm planning on switching the exhaust end on my car too. The problem? One: It's a diesel. B: The shotgun exhaust I want not only does it not fit on the rest of the exhaust system, but I'd also have to either drill out the bumper on the left side, or if I remove the muffler, drill a big hole right at the center, like a classic 2002. And for some reason third-hand aftermarket exhaust tips for my 3 series are almost as expensive the stock one bought from the BMW dealership. Go figure. Also, my brake pads are garbage and I should replace them because I know I'm gonna kill myself considering I drive pretty aggressively, but I'm more worried about the exhaust tip because Roadkill.
Slapped my bottlecaps on the Rabbit, ripped the carpet out and started replacing the floor pan. Also got to work refreshing the motor with some new gaskets, and stripping off bits to start cleaning the massive amount of sludge on it.
