my friend @crashmaster already has a scaled down version of the t series engine for his "stubby-t" mod, i'm sure he won't mind letting me use it... will ask him right now --- Post updated --- yeah a mini monster jeep would be cool, once the rockwell axles are working correctly.. for now i'm working on finishing the stuff i already started, mainly tires and engines but i will work on the suspension soon
ToughTruckMap, by @Crash Hard 01. available here: https://www.beamng.com/resources/toughtruckmap.1529/
Lifetime of particulates is too short, setting particulates high seems to just make smoke at idle near the same as smoke at full roar, which is shame, if we could find way to set lifetime of particulates to 10-15 seconds, that would be what is needed, but I haven't found where in code that would be set.
the engines smokes more when it's under load, and the duration of the particulates would be in the game's lua, which i didn't even look at yet but i might have to make some custom lua someday to get stuff working properly
While on the topic of monster jeeps, would it be possible to create an aquatic hopper? Similar to the Seep. Also, maybe an actual monster truck engine, like in the CRD Revamped.
i have one, a massive engine with twin blowers... waiting to find a place where it fits also, here's progress on the semi's engine in the hopper. for now i can't figure out why the engine won't show up but at least my new turbo is there, it's the original turbo, just a bit bigger and with hood exhaust now still have to fix the textures on it and the location of the smoke
I can't wait for either of those engines. Do you think you could try putting the twin blower engine in the back of the truggy frame so it fits? I have seen a few off-road builds like that and it could be neat.
That was amazingly quick. The texturing isn't to shabby, either. Edit: What do you think about my engine placement suggestion? Edit #2: Engine like this one: I realize it isn't a traditional Jeep, but an engine can still get squeezed in.
Although it would look awesome, 1,000+ pounds in the back of something that's already a wheelie machine...You'd need some serious ballast in the front too. --- Post updated --- I guess you could do it with a twin turbo 4 cylinder or V6 that weighs less, but rolling coal is more fun
well the engine is a bit .... big... for the hopper, i was thinking about putting it in the T series instead
The Trial 1000 17x10.5 Front tire (the one with the 44s) replaces the standard 17x9 Trial 1000 Front wheels. Is anyone else having this issue?
You're right. But, you seem to have some pretty good skills at designing frames, so I trust in you to make a frame that will handle that engine. By the way, what are the power figures on that engine? It is easily three times the size of what I thought it would be.
i can scale it down to fit the hopper but later, once i'm done fixing all my dumb mistakes by the way here's how it would look in the T series, without scaling or anything..
Well, in the meantime, follow through on your idea to shove it in the T-Series. Also, keep working on that semi engine and the tractor tires. I'm looking forwards to all of this
