how has no one created a car catapult such as the one used in crash testing?..they've made the cube crusher. cool but boring...or the ability to implement roadside IEDs for added destruction.exploding objects on impact.ability to VBIED a vehicle...i could go on?
I'm not sure proper explosions are possible right now, but sounds fun. Have you played around with the cannon? It's very fun.

I'm guessing the node grabber lock, before the hotfix when resetting the car kept it in the same place?
It was the unintentional effects I had while working on a mod, to hold the covet in place (while it got run over and pulled apart by monster trucks.) There is an invisible base underneath it with collision triangles. It was accidentally raised up into the wheel collision triangles. How the game didn't crash with 'instabilities detected', I will never know. Anyways, the point is - there are many ways to destroy things in BeamNG. similar to what the op is looking for.
