Like, you could have helped filling up where credits were lacking instead of building a case. This is the only thing I contest. I could have even listed the authors of individual pixels in a texture if needed. All you had to do was to ask me.
I've got no hard feelings, but the stuff between between sim-monsters and this project is getting really old... Next time I'd let them speak for themselves. He has a point. This is the Dev group. Could have easily just made a request here. Also ,the repo version is pretty well stripped down, so there are not a lot of names to credit anyways. Were there really that many people upset? Was it even anyone currently in the credits? Or just those that were removed?
My goal was to just raise awareness to the fact that there was some problems with the credits. I've just had too many experiences on Sim-Monsters where issues with credits ended up making a mess just like what happened here. Yes, I made the comments in the discord chat, but I really didn't think anyone would take them seriously since it was in discord and not on here. I didn't say anything prior to this release since I really haven't followed this mod in the past month, but when I saw it on the repository, that's when I realized I needed to say something about the credits. As soon as I saw the lack of credits, I knew a Sim-Monsters riot was bound to happen, but is what I was really trying to prevent. I understand that the repo version only had 2 paint jobs, but there was also an entire truck full of models that completely lacked credits in the release notes. I think I just had a different perspective from mostly everyone else, which is really where the problems escalated. No matter what I say, people will still think I tried to sabotage the mod. I really tried to support this mod by learning how to add new bodies in the early stages and I also made those many tracks for people to use the trucks on. Unfortunately, I really didn't know how the BeamNG community would react, but I know now. There really isn't anything I can do to clear my name after reading through the comments in the thread, so I think it's time I quietly disappear back to Sim-Monsters. Who knows what the future holds. Edit: You do not want the Sim-Monsters community to speak for themselves. Compared to what could have happened, you all got off easy.
No need to "disappear back to Sim-Monsters". Whatever people may think, you can still make up for it. Leaving now will only cement the bad reputation this thing got you. I included an integration to the notes (not even SealedGecko's were so precise, but I still don't know how accurate they are) and got the edited paint scheme removed. Just admit you jumped the gun a bit and let's get this over with like adults? I get it, you guys worked hard on these graphics assets, without you this mod wouldn't even exist and you demand respect. But so did all the people working of the other half of the mod (and, trust me, took us way longer to write the sole powertrain code than any texture design might ever take). And we deserve at least as much respect and recognition as you for turning an half-baked, unfinished mod into a well-received one that's getting rave reviews... So, please, enough with this pointless rivalry between communities you guys brought over here? So, basically, you're saying Sim-Monsters is a community of overzalous, vocal dudes. Noted. Ever thought you guys might have a bit of an attitude problem? Making big fuss over problems easily solved anywhere else doesn't make you any "better'". If this umpteenth colossal shitstorm over something we could have sorted out in 5 minutes like grown-ups is "getting off easy compared to what could have happened", you guys should seriously reconsider your priorities...
we have BeamNG.drive and Steer clear and their bodies are fully breakable. i think their both better performance wise than all the other monster truck mods.
Steer Clear has been removed per author's request. skin was altered too much and thus he wanted it removed --- Post updated --- also, would i be able to release a pack with the retro bigfoot body? @FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL
I'd rather not. I'd like to keep assets reuse to a minimum in favor of more original content instead, to avoid problems in the future.
