My favourite racing game it was on PS3 and it was called Gran Turismo 5.

On mobile it would be CarX Drift Racing. On console it would be FH2.

If BeamNG.drive was a racing game, it would be my favourite. But right now it's probably Lego Racers 2 (sorry for the cringe, it's such an amazing game for it's age tbh), or Forza 4 on Xbox 360

 

Or Asetto Corsa even tho i didn"t play it but i want to.

GT3 doesn't have a very good selection though.

All of those sound awesome, but I don't think beam-ng drive is a racing game yet. We all wish it was though.

i was gonna say burnout paradise/revenge until you mentioned that. that game is an absolute masterpiece, the track editor is perfect, and allows almost anyone to make levels that look just like a pro dev made them

 

In steam it is cconsidered that because of the racetracks and race cars but besides that is more of a simulation, but it can be considered that. In that case if you mean by that, I agree it is one of the better racing games.

 

In terms of realism (graphics, FFB feel), I'd say Assetto Corsa.
