Dear MunchiesnOOb, It is generally advised to seek help solving any problems in the discussion thread before leaving an unsatisfied review. Mod authors appreciate this, as it gives them an opportunity to correct any bugs without affecting the map's "score." While this method of reporting bugs is not mandatory, it is considered courteous and improves the chances of an author helping you personally. I am under the impression that certain stairs on the map have their collision disabled so as to allow most vehicles to climb them easily. Since there are many sets of stairs on the map, it may be helpful to specify which staircase you are experiencing difficulty with. I am uncertain whether or not a mod author has the capability to delete a negative review of their mod. It is possible that all reviews below a certain threshold are automatically brought to the attention of a forum moderator, who may remove overly negative reviews in an attempt to prevent trolls from organizing and downvoting a mod unfairly.
A normal human being use the discussion thread instead of rating bad. But I am happy that you've found the discussion thread now! Also I have not deleted your ratings, I just reported them because of the reason I already mentioned! I have no problem if you leave a 1 star rating because the map looks like crap or you just don't like it. But for bugs or issues the rating page is the wrong place! So I'll keep on reporting. But now I am glad that you found the right way to report bugs...so I'm gonna help you. I need some screenshots from you: 1) All objects with missing collision 2) The content of your Documents/BeamNG.drive directory I'll have a look at it.
Your review were being deleted as unfair, as that's a problem on your side. The map itself works fine: Video - Click to Play - Direct Link Allow the author to actually help you first. The install instructions written in the mod's description are needed ONLY if you used an older copy of this map in the past. That's because you first need to remove the cache of the older version before using the latest one. If you have never used this map before, you won't have any cache of this map, so nothing to delete. Maybe logs, game versions etc. that can actually help figuring out what's going on your side?
I could'nt do this. You only need tires...the map is already there And I am no vehicle artist...don't know how it works. Ask someone else in the vehicles forum
Sorry...no Updates at the moment. I have too much to do in real life. But I hope the space Update will be ready in may.
There must be something broken inside your directory. Should work fine. Maybe you played around with the materials-editor and accidentally saved the changes (I don't know...). Try to re-download the car_jump_arena.zip and overwrite your copy...also make sure to clear your cache.
I got this issue after downloading version 0.9.0.4. I didn't change anything in the editor. Edit: Reinstalling the map and clearing cache did not work. I guess it's an issue that popped up after the recent hotfix.
I still have no clue...will have a look at it the next few days! Thanks for reporting! --- Post updated --- Sorry...I can't reproduce this issue! I cleared my cache and I've also deleted everything inside the "My Documents" folder (except the "mods"-folder). I changed the texture- and mesh-settings inside the game...but I can't reproduce it...still works fine. Very strange...
I have found the problem. In the folder (car_jump_arena /levels/car_jump_arena/art/shapes/bridge: materials) there is a section of text that maps the cja_bridge_door texture to the grandstand_roof which was causing the problem. This is at the very top of the text. singleton Material(cja_bridge_door) { mapTo = "grandstand_roof"; colorMap[0] = "levels/car_jump_arena/art/shapes/bridge/cja_bridge_door.dds"; translucentBlendOp = "None"; materialTag0 = "Miscellaneous"; normalMap[0] = "levels/car_jump_arena/art/shapes/bridge/cja_bridge_door_n.dds"; specularPower[0] = "71"; pixelSpecular[0] = "1"; }; Just delete that part of the text and only that text it should work. I have tested this method.
