I'm not sure if this would be appropriate for the developers since this would probably change ESRB ratings, but I think it would be a good idea for it to not only be a car crash simulation, but also simulate injuries and effects of a car accident. If developers couldn't make this due to legal reasons, then it would be very cool to have this as a mod, and if it would be reasonably possible to make, then lead me to some resources for modding this myself, because I would gladly make this in beamng.

One way would be to have humans selectable as a part in the parts selector for driver, passenger front, and rear passengers, depending on how many you wanted in a vehicle and where. Then, it could be made so that impacts could cause deformations to the body, and the crushing of the body would cause a red texture underneath the skin to be exposed, making it appear like lacerations or trauma. This would be similar to when a car is hit in beamng and sometimes the seat will be sticking out through the roof or door, if you understand what I'm talking about.

Another way to further simulate it would be to have an app that you could have in the game similar to the AI app or the brake heat debug app. This app could display G-forces of the crash and injuries that had happened in the crash. For instance if the app detected the head hitting the steering column at a high velocity, it would trigger the app to list injuries such as traumatic brain injury, skull fracture, or a concussion. Or if the app detected the chest hitting the steering column excessively hard, injuries such as a broken rib cage or a collapsed/punctured lung may become present. Or spinal damage, leg injuries, head lacerations, etc.

Another thing that could also be added would be the simulation of seat belts. This could be either selected with the person in the parts menu, like choosing either "Driver (No Seat Belt)" or "Driver (Seat Belt)" where one driver is wearing a seat belt and the other isn't, or have it be selected as a separate part, like as a sub column of the driver or passenger you could select to have a seat belt as an additional part. This could also affect how the injuries occur, and if possible, could also eject the person (again, I'm not sure if being ejected would be possible in beamng because if I remember correctly it isn't possible for things to be ejected from a vehicle.)

Finally, this may be close to impossible, but the simulation of air bags and maybe even collapsible steering columns in addition to these ideas would be really cool. For example, in a frontal collision the front air bags would deploy, preventing serious injury to the occupants by providing a softer impact for the head and chest. Then, further adding to the simulation would be if the steering column collapsed in a frontal collision, providing more space for the driver and creating a less harsh impact when the car is in a crash.

Again, I'm not sure if these would even be possible because of development complications, or if the developers would not find this feasible due to ESRB changes, but I think this would be a great addition to beamng.drive because it would turn this into not only a driving physics simulator, but a full-on accident simulator, with different safety features and showing how some cars are safer than others.

Combined with the D15 technical, this feature will turn Beamng into extreme homicide simulator.

I think the only "legal" way to do this is if all the characters were inanimate objects like crash test dummies or something. That being said though, that would make for some pretty weird gameplay :p

That's exactly the reason why these features will not be added to the game.

what about having humans that never deform or die or bleed in car accidents? Its what SLRR did.

This isn't accident simulator, although since airbags are part of the car, I wouldn't mind that. I honestly wouldn't play the game though if they added actual humans to the game..

Why would it not be legal?

Why would it not be legal?
It might not be accident simulator, but it would be a great addition!

Carmageddon could not have pedestrians in UK & Germany, their laws are bit tight, so there was zombies I think, some game had robots. I really don't have problem with humans, but I would have big issue if there would be cats.

That makes sense as to why the developers would not add this feature, but how would I go about creating a mod with this in it?

That might be a thing, that if you manage to pull it off, you will be in modder hall of fame for rest of your life. I guess it is not entirely impossible, but it would be really really difficult. You would need to create some custom LUA script logic stuff, somehow interface that with a game, figure out how to get collisions working so that you could have more than 6 pedestrians, from Wiki if you go to section that talks about LUA scripts you might get started or turned away faster than browser closes down.

Ehh, I said legal because they are dealing with ESRB ratings (I think that's what it is). That being said, perhaps legal is not the correct word to be used. E ratings would highly frown upon humans being in the cars with the level of detail that is in the accidents in this game (and their violence when speeds increase).

Remember also - this game is developed in Germany, where they have some quite strict censorship laws.
