Hey mate! Try to use auto-smooth with a 30-degree angle for the earth-object. Also some suggestions for improvement: - The earth seems a little bit too big! Have a look at the picture I've attached. - Place some auto-generated rocks with a ground-cover - Use some more layers for the earth, like a cloud-layer or an atmosphere for example. Clouds could be animated with the texture...or by adding several moving/rotating objects. - Add some stars! The reason why we could'nt see any stars at the apollo pictures is that the astronauts used a very short exposure time. When you are at the moon you'll see more stars like beeing on earth! - Maybe you add some easter eggs or left-overs from apollo-missions to make the map more interesting. But nice start! There is potential behind your idea! Keep up the good work!
This really is one of the best map mods I've ever played on. Some of the stunts you can do on the hills and craters are spectacular thanks to the low gravity. Also it feels real. I can't wait to see what you make next and how you might make this map even better (not sure you can as it's already amazing.)
This was a bit of a speed-mod attempt but definitely plan to make some improvements sometime and these are some great points!
hey, would you be butthurt if i release my own "moon" level ive been working on? im somehow unable to pm you.
No one owns the moon. I don't think it's like race tracks, where it's rude to make a competing version, unless your mapping the same region of the moon. I for one would love to see "Ghost Moon" More moon levels means more chances of some one making a moon rover, or a moon related scenario pack.
Somtimes old levels dont show up. When 0.8 came out, my latest levels didnt like it. Considering its older and an alpha to boot, it probably wasnt tested much outside of the "docs/beamngdrive/levels" folder; try putting it there, it just won't show up in the mod manager. I keep it there so I can mess with it and add stuff, since its so plain.
Well i dragged the zip to the mod directory like you're supposed to do with every mod but somehow it won't show up in-game --- Post updated --- I just tried putting it there but sadly still no results
