I am REALLY eager to drive this rather than crash it because the GM EV1 is a very important car too me and I really want to drive it.

I won't start the hard parts like the jbeaming until summer. I don't have time right now. The model, however, will be completely textured and finished before then (hopefully).

IIRC, GM had them crushed so they wouldn't be required to continue producing/ensuring availability of spare parts for such a small volume car.

Mining lead? Look up Pitcher Oklahoma on youtube or wiki or google. Careful with that one there.
For those not wishing to go through all the looking and just want the skinny (or the down-low) on it: Pitcher and it's sister town across state borders (Can't remember the name), were used for lead mining during the wars. Was all well and great until the Captain Bunsen Burner (read: some scientists) showed up in his science suit and said ya'all are bein poisoned every time you drink water or the wind blows.
And no, while the EV1 used Lead-Acid tech for the batteries - standard battery tech for cars at the time - new ones use Lithium Ion or similar tech as it holds much much more 'juice' and charges faster for what it holds, lasts longer, and needs less units for more power.
Ontopic: (yeah, finally, right?), This will be a useful car to have, but when making it, make sure you can change that body around when needed, so that you can make other things like the Geo Metro (1997 model year), Chevrolet Cavalier, Ford Probe, Saturn (small coupe), etc. The reason I say this is well you could make this thinking of now, or you could make this thinking like GM. Thinking like GM: Hey lets make a new vehicle, but in order to compete with ourselves better *cough* I mean maximise profits, lets make like 5+ versions of said small car and sell it to everyone we can find in different configs / trim levels. I despised GM for this personally, but it also meant there was a GM in almost every driveway, so can't throw too many stones their way. What I said may help you expand your mod better in the future, or others to expand it.

It's still your mod, so keep that in mind, beggars (me, others) can't be choosers, now can we? I will be grateful for anything given, as always, and keep up the great work. I am sure the EV1 will be great to cruise around my maps with, unfortunately I don't know if it'll make it to the other side and back. Seeing as this has a range of ~25 miles approx and my maps width is roughly half that (12.6mi, IIRC)...
