I think you should add in a damage meter for how much money in destruction you have caused to cars :D

Sounds a bit to arcadey for this game, plus you can already see how much damage you have caused in the debug menus.

Um, I guess it would be nice to add a damage meter, but it would be cool to have a percentage damage meter too.:)

Don't like this idea about damage meter. Why do you want it? You must feel the car and feel, how car is damaged.

I think that it would be pretty cool if you could toggle it on and off.

Well maybe certain systems in a paper cut away can be the representation?
Along with cooling and Oil temp for instance.

You need to feel the car in order to judge its condition. A meter would be arcadey. Maybe this idea is better off in RoR.

I don't see how this would work.. Seeing as there is actually no limit to how messed up a vehicle can get..

The only way I can think of quantifying damage is the post-crash assessment in Burnout, which really wouldn't work in BeamNG.

There is something like it in one of the debug modes (the ones brought up by pressing L&K) I think it has total nodes and damaged nodes with a percentage.

but the money part would be a waste of time.

dont' forget, debug mode won't be there forever (and I assume will be disabled by default in the final versions of the game)

ummm, actually, thats incorrect, im fairly certain the devs ARE going to leave that, because its has many useful features for the player's as well, as well as the 3rd party vehicle/map devs :p for example, seeing node names, seeing where a certain node is (for example, if there adding wings, and for some reason the jbeam seems to be going crazy, open the debug mode, and you see where the game places all the nodes and beams for it)
