I don't think you have anything to fear. I think you'll eventually get there. ;)

It took me a while to get over 1000 likes, but I didn't see it as a race or anything. However, I was really happy to watch my positive ratings go from 999 to 1000.

What I'm now wondering is if it's possible to have the transparency of that diffuse map slowly increased when driving over dirt, then decreased when going through water, thus creating a "getting dirty" and "washing off dirt" effect.

In that time, I'd think there'd be the:
    Hopper (Obviously, it was confirmed)
Surprises and bug fixes (The usual :))
D Series Crew Cab (Looks complete)
    Updated ABS Code (Looks complete)

WCUSA (Looks to be complete, just some small details)
More campaigns (So far, we've gotten 1 every update, so I'd expect another one. It's not confirmed, though)

Sounds (Been in dev for awhile, but no info yet)
Dynamic dirt accumulation (No news and already shown how to recreate, but somewhat plausible)

    I know, but
proves it plausible. Not at all to be hopeful for, but plausible.

I've never said it was impossible. There's thousands of way to do it, and I'm sure it would make it's way one day into the game as it's an important detail, same for scratches. Scratches might even be more important, since they can show very light damages (like when you bump into something/you scratch another car).

Now I'm only going to speculate but a thing I really hope to see one day is AI traffic spawning around. Especially with WCU, since, well, it's a city. Because most computer can handle around 3-4 cars. I'm sure it would be interesting to see cars randomly spawn and dispawn around you.
Of course it would be an optional thing and you could choose how many cars you would like to have depending on your computer. And the AI would need to follow road laws of course.

Seems easy when you say it, but it would be, pretty much impossible for now. Especially making car randomly spawn around without lag and without making it looking strange.

I'm still thinking about the option allowing cars to trough other cars for saving FPS, would interesting if this thing could activate when you are far from cars, and desactivate when you are close to other cars so you can hit them.
    Probably my Beamng dream Tbh.

Actually it was originally something talked about long ago (2012-2013 ish IIRC), but got shelved at the time due to all the other things that needed to be worked on. Its feasible it could potentially be worked on again at some point, but whether the devs have any intention of continuing development on it anytime soon or ever is still an open question.

    Examples:
    August 2013
    December 2012

Yeah... But it's really old, remember at this time this game was planned as demolition derby. (a reason why so many 80's Americans cars)
I don't believe I terrain deformation, but qui have good hope for car getting dirty.

And thanks for the link, at the time I did know the game (I was still playing ROR :p) But I wasn't understanding English.

Fair, it was old but so are most of the features in game semi recently (in the last year or so), It would not be a stretch that a simple texturemap overlay gets faded in if the tire model detects its on dirt, Plus the game aspired to be more than a demolition derby game early on in development, it was just marketed as such since at the time its physical model was its most impressive aspect; Arguably a dirt texture is much more applicable for the game now than if it was just a demolition game. Terrain deformation was just included as part of gabe's comment on someone else's question, it was never a planned feature, whereas dirt textures is something that was visibly worked on at one point or another. Again, time will tell if any progress will be made on dirt textures, as the car's texture modeling process and game engine has been reworked since then; I would not expect it anytime soon, unless the devs decide to reveal it as something that is being worked on, which is unlikely at this stage of development.

    So are these

and stuff somewhat implemented, or planned and yet to come
    on tire wear
    My personal favorite
More like this could be found if I did not just focus on gabester, but there is plenty of stuff that was planned long ago and only recently made it into the game, and plenty of stuff that is still yet to come.

Point is that age of features planned has little relevance on whether something matters if its in game or not as most of the features added recently are from when the game was still a "demolition sim. take note that most of those are from 2012 (very early in development), and have been added fairly recently, but that's not to say all features that were old or originally planned will make it into the game. Remember, for many years of development it was only 4 people developing the game, only very recently in game development time terms has the team grown large enough that much of the original plans of the game can be brought to us testers. Never rule out a feature because it was planned long ago, but certainly don't expect it either.

I wonder if there's any progress on the hopper.. Will the magnificent @gabester shower us with dev pics? Will we be granted a beautiful Japanese-maybe-RHD-jeep-abomination thingy? Will all our dilemmas, dreams, and hopes be answered? and will it happen soon?

    probably not

No, you miss understood, I didn't asked for proofs x)
I meant that devs one day said that the game was already planned as a demolition derby game. But it took a different road.

    I do agree with you.
Btw I didn't know for the SLRR thing, SLRR is Cleary one of my favorite game, it's very interesting!
