Speakers will be a loose fitting wire or a damaged diaphram *maybe*. If its the wire you should be able to fix it easily enough provided you can find the loose connection.

Take it you just swapped the battery out? My current car has a 2008 battery in it, should be swapped but its recording a 13.8V when the engine is cut and 12.8 by morning. Starts perfectly fine. Either way, you have a manual, who needs batteries when you can just bump start it, cant bump start an auto, my old skoda was so easy to bump start *on a flat* that I did it solo once. I've done a bump start from a tow rope in moving traffic around town before, my god that was sketchy, for a start while driving under tow in a car fitted with power steering its almost impossible to turn as you not only dont have the power steering but you have to fight the hydraulics (mine was hydraulic), then of course when the car fires up it wants to move forwards which it cant because there is another car infront. Trying to push it wasnt an option in rush hour traffic, had to get the car out of there, easiest way being a tow rope. Car didnt even have enough electrical power to turn its lights on at the time and it was dark too :p Sketchiest moment of my driving career, and that was the day after I got my license.

Not bad car for about £900.

No Offense dude, but I wouldn't put those rims on it. It's a truck, it's not meant to be "tricked out" or whatever you want to call it. In my opinion, shouldn't have that stuff on it. I'd spent money on something like new exaust or something.(NOT a fart cannon. I can't stand those things) Anyway, I like it how it is now. It's a nice truck. If you like it, then do it. Just my opinion.

I already have dual flowmaster 40's on it and personally I like the rims and ive seen trucks that look good with 20's and 33's I plan in putting on either a 3inch bodylift on or a 4in rcx suspension lift
    here is a 95 Silverado with a 6in rcx and a 2in bodylift with 20's and 35's

but I can understand that some people don't like bigger rims but they look good imo
    Oh thanks btw

Thanks, I need new tires anyway and I want to get a size that will look good with a 3-4in lift and I could still crank my torsion bar keys to make them fit with out a lift so I don't have to buy new tires when I put a lift on.

I think rims - as with all aspects of car aesthetics really - are simply individual preference.

I'll play. First is my drift/ex-daily driver. 240sx with turbo, cage, coilovers and all that fun stuff. I've been sliding this car since '05. It still has the full interior (minus rear seats for the cage), AC, power steering and radio so it's still nice to drive on the streets. This pic is from an autocross

next is my current daily: 1981 Corolla wagon. The drivetrain is from a '98 Tacoma truck with a 3RZ motor. It's a bit of a sleeper and tons of fun to drive

I bought a new battery when I purchased the car. We hooked jumper cables up to my dads Dodge Caravan and tried charging the old 2007 battery for like 10 minuets. After that we tried starting it and all we got was around 2 cranks then it would just click. So then we charged it for 18 minuets and we were able to get it going. After that we drove it around just to see the condition of the clutch and everything else. Then we drove it back to their house and put it back in the garage. The alternator couldn't even charge the battery enough to keep the dome lights on. We then went back home and came back the next day with a new fresh battery with a crap ton of crank power compared to the old one.

And the problem with the speaker is just odd. They ONLY work when its hot out. And its not just with one, its with both. My friend had a wiring problem like this but it was with his taillight on his 1992 Honda Accord. If it got too cold his taillight would not work at all. But as the day warmed up it started to work again. I plan on getting new speakers for the back soon so hopefully after installing them everything should work.

Yeah and I have never bump started it like that but its a good thing to know in the future.

Take handbrake off, stick car in 2nd gear, put the clutch down and get someone to push it upto speed a bit (might vary by car). Hold the key in the ignition position, lift the clutch and feather the throttle a bit to let some fuel in. As soon as it catches its an idea to give it some revs to keep it going which on a tow rope is then the sketchy part :p

If the cars alternator is upto scratch it should be able to bump regardless of the battery state, saw some youtubers bump start a car with the battery removed entirely.

Alot of people seem to claim you need a downward slope. Of all the times I have bump started a car (many) I have never had the benefit of a hill. Very convenient method when jump cables are unavailable. I do carry jump cables, a full can of petrol and a tow rope in my car at all times now, someone gave me £20 for jump starting their car at a petrol station actually so they have already paid for themselves.

Pressing the gas doesn't do anything in a fuel injected car when the car is off and hills are needed when there is nobody to pull you.

Awesome Capri, my mate has two, one MK1 1600gt, and one MK2 2.3 V6 :)

I have an original 1986 XR3i put away in storage, waiting for some love :)
I also owned a 1977 MK1 Granny stationwagon with the 2.3v6 some years ago with a leather interior. The most comfortable car I've ever owned.

All you guys above would feel right at home at my place :) Here's why:

My daily driver, a 75 Ford Taunus with a 2l pinto efi and a 5 speed.

Pressing the accelerator was more for when you turn the damn key, which will do something unless you have a duff alternator (which is probably why your battery is flat). You can try without, will still probably work just fine, but it can kinda help to have a tiny bit (not too much) extra fuel to get it started.

As for needing a hill, I still beg to differ having done this:
1 man bump starting on a flat surface. Only difference was that I had a right hand drive (I'm english) 5 door 1999 Skoda Felicia.

My daily driver is a 2001 Saab 9-5 Aero with 370'000km on the odometer. An old picture of it can be seen here: http://maelh.deviantart.com/art/HOT-Saab-96489581

I regularly drive a 2003 Chevy Astro with over half a million kilometers and also a 2011 Mercedes Sprinter 2500. My father lets me driver his 2011 Audi S5 as often as I ask. So in all, I am a very season driver in a variety of vehicles, weather and road conditions.

I mis-understood, you are right. I thought you were talking about pumping the pedal like an old carbed car. That was a pretty slick bump start :p
