granted its a little impractical and not "as realistic" ,i was playing today and i usually do alot of lets just call it dirt tracking so to speak, so i use the rally variants alot in beam. what my suggestion is, is that the be an implement of rally style and one of race style to all vehicles (or most vehicles) for example theres the race livery and handling for the 200BX but no rally livery and handling. and with the oldschool Pessima and Covet there are the rally style livery and handling, but no fullblown racetrack livery and handling. my suggestions would be like a rally version of the ETK or the Grand Marshall.. that would be sweet! (granted they dont exist in real life) it would be cool bashing across the desert in a lifted Marshall with AWD and light bars or racing around Hirochi Raceway in a slammed race spec Roamer. i know theres the option for player to basically custom build there own but theres no way to get the full rally or race effect like the Dev-created ones. a second spinoff i thought of would be like a Baja or trophy truck inspired concept for the D Series H Series and Roamer. there are the offroad variants but i find them to be a little more top heavy with mudding/climbing kind of feel. where as a 2WD long travel suspension D or H series would be really cool. same with a lowered version for track racing. if this post goes anywhere and people have similar interest id be glad to elaborate more on my ideas, or even throw up some pics for example, just thought id throw it out there as a feeler if anyone else agrees.
YES! I agree that there needs to be a rally/race version of almost all the cars in the game, and I would love to have a roamer as a race car. On the trophy truck idea for the D series, there used to be a mod that was a toyota hardbody that used the same(?) chassis as the D series but that mod is very old and doesn't work anymore. I absolutely loved that mod and it sucks that there isn't another mod out there for a trophy truck. A Dev version for a trophy truck would be amazing, I would also be pleased with a mod, but either way, it needs to come asap.
Everyones forgetting the poor SBR4 with no special configurations whatsoever. I think gt3-esque aero parts and a similar or same engine with shorter gearing would be perfect.
thanks for the support guys. im realyl interested to see if anything comes of this! im hoping we could see some of these make their way into the game! the SBR is a good call too! that would be cool to see some closed circuit livery/race handling on that car too
someone please chime in and let me know im not just over thinking it.... but am i starting to notcie rally and race versions of all the vehicles!? just scrolling through all the options and im seeing race trim for the burnside more rally liverys and all sorts of things! really liking the direction. more more more! great work Dev's!!!!!!!!!!!!
