Also keep in mind, the smallest tires on this vehicle are 35 inches tall. Minimum lift is 4-6 inches. The vehicle, weighing in over 2 tons, is going to be a bit top heavy at speed.

However, that being said... now that the tires are weighted correctly, it doesn't tip as often either.

Awesome car but, a little bit to strong. Just look at this:

The jeep in the video rollsover 1 time very softly and looks like this:
    chrome 2013-10-27 11-25-51-40.jpg

Here the beamng jeep rolled over about 5 times:

    BeamNG 2013-10-27 11-21-55-19.jpg BeamNG 2013-10-27 11-21-58-83.jpg

And yeah, maybe the jeep in the video hasn't got a rollcage, but I guess rollcage or not, after over 50 to 100meters down a cliff with at least 5 rollovers should still look much more destroyed.

Here the crash in the video:

    chrome 2013-10-27 11-28-46-19.jpg

Here about same speed in beamng.
    BeamNG 2013-10-27 11-16-01-46.jpg

    Another few things:

Crash at full speed into a hatch including more than 4 rollovers:
    BeamNG 2013-10-27 11-35-41-06.jpg BeamNG 2013-10-27 11-40-52-79.jpg

Crash at high speed into the rear wheel of the jeep:

    BeamNG 2013-10-27 11-45-26-64.jpg BeamNG 2013-10-27 11-45-35-26.jpg

    Second try:

    BeamNG 2013-10-27 11-46-14-53.jpg

And call me a hater or not, but I think constructive critism helps him more than 10people telling him how perfect his car is.

Overall it's a great mod, but you can still improve a few things :)

Thank you for testing, and your input. I know it's stiffer than a 'stock' zj, and there's a reason for that. Along with the roll cage tying the unibody together, it has rock sliders out of thick metal along the rockers, heavy duty bumpers front and rear, and the unibody rails have also been beefed up. It should be much stiffer than a stock version, if you think about it.

I have problems spawning it. Everytime I try to spawn it, it doesn't. I don't know what happens (same with another one mod, but other mods works perfectly).

I agree that it reverses but although it is a high tribute to the special car :-/ there is a car which would be perfect in the field or on the road .... I would rather have a problem with radius by steering wheel .... so when I turn my car go crazy circle :-( (sorry my bad english iam czech and translate.google is shit :-/ )

    Looking awesome !
Probably the best car mods yet for BeamNG.Drive IMO !
I just love the way it looks, dirty, cheap and abused

Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0

On the 35s wheels, sometimes the tires get damaged and look damaged for just a few seconds, and then they go back to looking undamaged. While damaged, they behave like damaged tires, and when they turn back to the default tires they act like default tires. It's very funny and weird.

Also, on the 40s and 44s, the climbing power of the truck decreases as the wheel size becomes larger. The decrease in power is quite significant too.

And as for one last thing: could we get a more powerful optional engine for crawling? :D

Please read the first post. You have 3 gear ratio's to choose from.

The "decrease" in power is realistic. It will be even more noticeable on the update. Also, tire damage is fixed now.

Re: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Ready V. 1.0

I had the exact same happen on the Gavril D and H series wheels a few times, very bizarre, something to do with the game itself I guess.

The climbing power of the truck will decrease as the wheel size becomes larger. That is simple mechanics. A larger diameter wheel has less torque than a smaller diameter wheel, however as it is turning at the same RPM (assuming it has the torque to do so) it will achieve a higher top speed due to the higher circumference. If the wheel had a circumference of 1 metre and was turning at 1 revolution per second it will move 1 metre, when it has a circumference of 2 metres and is still moving at 1 revolution per second it will move 2 metres.

If you double the circumference you double the speed achievable by the vehicle but half the torque it has available at the wheel.

Now lets ignore units and just compare the difference from the 35 and 44 tyres.
Circumference = 2 * pi * radius. Now honestly, I dont know whether car tyre sizes are in inches or cm or if they are radius or diameter but I can ignore the units as they are the same unit for both sizes, and the ratio I will be calculating will be the same regardless of if I use radius or diameter.

    2 * pi * 35 = 219.91
    2 * pi * 44 = 276.46

the 35 wheel is just 79% of the circumference of the 44. performance changes will be noticeable.

I think the only negative thing I can say about this now is that shadows don't cast on the windows so it can look pretty strange in heavily shadowed areas due to the mud texture. I don't think shadows cast on any other vehicle's windows though so I'm unsure if you can even change that. Overall, fantastic vehicle to add to anyone's vehicle list.

Love it. The flex is great but the dampening seems a bit stiff, especially the rear. Maybe its just me.:)

Dkutch you should really clean up the Poly's on the inside of the jeep. It deserves more love on the model man!. Shouldn't be too hard to add a hundred or so more polys on the interior.

BTW This car looks amazing i like the way that when it breaks it looks rigid unlike 90% or community cars that look like jelly.

second thought. If you were to improve anything maybe the gauges, mirrors, and lights. mirrors being the number one thing.

the so called jelly is quite realistic when you look at a real car accident, I had someone reverse out of a parking space directly into my car, £800 to have it repaired (from his insurance thankfully for me, not so thankfully for him, long story though, lets just say my car only ended up in the garage 2 weeks ago and the collision was june 4th). Drivers door and rear quarter panel dented, reinforcement bar inside drivers door collapsed, locking mechanism shifted badly (still engaged and disengaged but with extra force required for the motor to manage it which eventually killed the motor days before it entered the garage, door engaged in the locked position so was still secure from theft thankfully, I just had to climb over from the passenger side), door handle shifted with the lock and when you pulled on it the handle moved at a funny angle and wouldnt return back when released so you had to pull the handle to open the door and push the handle flush against the car. To round it off, my lovely black plastic strip along the side of the door was shattered  Garage replaced the entire door, repaired the rear quarter panel, replaced the plastic trim, repaired a section of the door frame, actually had to swap the interior panel on the new door for the interior panel from my old damaged door as they couldnt get one the same colour but I actually prefer it this way as the colour fade on my interior then wouldnt have matched, replaced the point the door locks against on the frame, resprayed side of car and did a proper blend into the rest of the paintwork.

All that because from a collision occuring at 5mph max. Other guy got away with a stress mark on his rear bumper, scuffed paintwork around his tail light and smashing of the tail light itself. Seen his car in another car park since (the joys of living in a smallish town) and he seems to have only replaced the tail light, can probably do that for less than a tank of petrol.

The original Jeep is amazing. But with this one, it will be better! And the Trail will be an option/add-on with the Parts Configuration.

Hes not doing any more mesh modifications. He was asked multiple times on Rigs of Rods to make a stock one and he just ignored it.

So I can almost 100% guarantee that there will not be any stock mods in the future.
