For 1500 $, the best you can get is a tower that you build yourself. You can go for 1440p gaming, even for AAA titles. Beamng at max settings.

I would recommend my specs as my pc was built for around the same price :

    - i5 6600 K or the newer i5 7500 (7600K if you have a bit more $ and you want overclock)
You don't need an i7. These i5 are already good quad core CPU's for much less.

    - CPU cooler : cooler master hyper 212 evo

    - MSI z170/270 tomahawk motherboards are very nice if you want to overclock, but you can go cheaper if you don't want to.

    - GPU is very important, and at this price point, you can afford a cheap gtx 1070, for example an EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0. Avoid Gigabyte GPU's, their coolers are bad for this generation of GPU's.

    - SSD is far better than a HDD. Your computer will be much faster at booting and everything else. I recommend the Crucial mx 300 750 gb. Best price/gb ever. You can add a 1 or 2 tb hdd if you need more space.

    - 8 gb of DDR4 RAM seems to be enough for most games these days. There are a lot of good brands to choose, there.

    - For the rest of the components, you can get whatever is cheap but not crappy. You have to do a bit of research but that doesnt take too long.

    - You should have some money left for the monitor. Depending on where you live and what you bought earlier, you should be able to get a simple 1080 or 1440p monitor. You can go for AOC, ASUS or BenQ monitors, these are good brands. Don't buy more than 60 Hz or Gsync, it is only necessary for competitive FPS games and very expensive.
For example, I got the BenQ BL2420PT

    - If you want to get fancy, you can get a cheap mechanical keyboard on top of that.

Good luck and have fun building it. You will learn a lot and it will be truly yours.

I wanted to put an i5 in the build I suggested, but I remembered it's mainly for BNG so I chose an i7 for extra CPU power

As stated before, the AMD CPUs are going to be cheaper than the Intels if not quite the price of an i5 for the performance of an i7 and the seventh gen Intels are pretty damn bad if you ask me. I'd definitely wait for early march.
