Nothing to do with planetaries, that's by design. We have two points of failure, the wheel, and the whole hub, managed indipendently via different breakGroups. Both of them trigger the axleBeam to cut propulsion to the wheel. Flag shouldn't even be there, it's more or less a proof of concept, but it hasn't been worked on in weeks. It's basically indestructible metal in terms of simulation, so it behaves like that.
should make the planetary much harder to break off than the wheel, as having the entire system snap is usually only reserved for the most extreme/awesome crashes.
in that first pic, i went dead straight into a wall. one broke everything, the other just the wheel. ???
Well, that' s normal, you can't really expect perfect simmetry in breakage, unless you can make sure to hit surface at a perfectly perpendicular angle. The beam parameteres for each side are identical.
My favorite part about the flags They are basically a game hack. BeamNG does not do cloth. But CRD does.
must........resist.......asking.....for.....now.........ah what the hell, ME WANT ME WANT ME WANT (and do i see a seperate hub so the terra tire wheel ain't one piece no more?)
Nope, the separate hub is part of the transport rim (and it's not separate, even in that case). We can't really separate the hub efficiently, it would screw the pressureWheels up.
i think how it is currently is the way it should stay. everybody would be asking "can we have 4 wheel steer?" or "how do you activate the rear steer?" prevents alot of questions, plus, you can just save over the preset
True, all though I don't think it would be too hard to figure out that it is G and H. How do I save over the preset and what does that even mean?
you have 4 options, the parts menu, tuning, colors, and save/load. go through the presets and save over the one you want (you have to type the name exactly how it is)
