Agreed, I can't believe that rule about smoke lol, Where I live, if you don't get your healthy dose of steam/smoke in the stands, you didn't come to a good show Also, the body panels here must be chained/welded on. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Here's my buddy's run last year. He's in the black 61 car. 383 chev small block stroker in a 1965 Dodge Polara. Slider drive shaft with Moshier axles. Pretty wicked shit. You'll hear it above the other cars I'm sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg37enQ_9QM
Not really a derby livery but my first try at a skin, cheap matte black spray paint with skull and bolts. Beautiful job tom666 love that detail
First skin. Did this tonight. Used some random photo textures I found on Google Images including two rusty surfaces and one yellowed plastic for the bumpers. Took me a while to figure out which parts of the graphic were which parts of the car, but this has been a good learning experience Started out with one of Tom666's skins--it really helped me figure out what part was what.
Here's mine: The Van in black with all wheel drive and heavy duty coilovers and brakes. May add detail later.
Good deal. yeah, if it's an awd car, they are generally fwd with rear assist. if it's a 4wd truck, they take out the front drive shaft to derby them. By the rules of course as a 4wd vehicle would have a huge advantage in mud/grass/dirt
very nice my freind thats better than any of my skins cobined into one huge skin of multi shades of shit'ness
Get Paint.net (from http://www.getpaint.net) and open one of the car's skin files (located in <beamNG directory>\vehicles\<vehicle name>\vehiclename_c.dds) It's kinda difficult at the moment, though.
How did you get those decals on your derby car because i'm am clueless on how to do that. Can you please tell me how to do that to one of my cars.
All I used was Photoshop and added separate textures on different layers so that you can freely and individually move them about the vehicle without moving the entire skin.
We don't even have this type of derby in New Zealand, we only derby racing around the track LOL, there was a Nissan skyline, with a deckchair and a giant Garfield on the roof!
