I have a strong feeling that the Hopper will be released on Christmas, as a present. But I am just speculating!
No. Use search. Also this is the speculation thread for speculating future official content. Not just suggesting stuff.
he means that it was already suggestet if you had used the search bar you would have found threads talking about it
I don't think pedestrians will ever come to be. However, I'm all for driver ragdolls, perhaps something like the stig in some of the cars and maybe a featureless ragdoll like the ones in Turbo Dismount. What he's saying is that there is a possibility that those you spoke of may never happen.
No they haven't been added officially and they probably will never be added. Passengers has been suggested a lot and won't happen and pedestrians will not either. This is not and 18+ game. However there are mods that add dummies and stig models as drivers to some cars. EDIT: I'm still here. No need to ninja me.
the gta thing was a joke. But I would like to see a driver since this game is about the crashes and physics. Being able to test crashes with a dummy/driver would be fun. No need for gore but physics. This game is all about physics. I also understand the processing required for another complicated game object. Why not make it an option for those who have PCs that can do it.
I would disagree that adding ragdolls would make BeamNG a 18+ game. If we had something like the stig or dummy in the Oldsfullsize or a featureless ragdoll similar to the ones in Turbo Dismount, it would be just fine. It looks to me like Turbo Dismount gets away with not being an 18+ game. Like I said, I'm all for simple ragdolls that function like that stig I mentioned above. I know the ragdolls in TD falls apart, but the ones that could happen for BeamNG doesn't have to go that far.
im so lost on forum lingo lmao... i always edit my posts cause i usually have typos or think of something else... not trying to ninja lol --- Post updated --- i just wanna test crashes with seatbelts and without. Maybe get G force measure on the dummies, it would be awesome. See them fly out windshields etc. Cmon... it would take this game to the next level
Nah wasn't directed yo you. It was directed to the two other guys above my post. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ninja'd I meant it more toward the point of adding pedestrians. A dummy would be alright I guess but would produce glitching or bugs. You can't have an dummy deform correctly because a node can't weigh too little. Stig similar drivers would probably still be a no even though it's allowed on the forums. It's an person and as I mentioned wouldn't deform well and you don't want an person to deform in this game. There is an wip prop thread on the forums with and legit person but it was asked to be changed from an person to something less human like.
That would be awesome, but I doubt it because it was shown to the public not that long ago, but then again it is in-game and working... Just not released yet...
Or, you know. The devs could spend time with their families and stuff on christmas day, they're not robots.
I said that because we had the same thing last year. A big update with a very small one after. But I don't think it would be the case this year. It was a huge update.
No, the car is not done. I bet my old pentium that it won't be the case. But a could thing could have a been a picture of the team, or something.
So, what do you guys think the chances are that .drive will leave early access in 2017? Do you think we could see the full release in 2017? I think it's going to be close. Many core systems are complete (thermals, drivetrains) but there are still a few very complex systems that need to be revamped before I think they will do a full release. The sounds and GFX engine are probably going to be the major updates this coming year, and it's going to take a lot of work to get those up to par with other games. We will hopefully be getting a lot of playable content, with two new maps coming out next year, who knows how many cars, and new campaigns. 2017 is going to be very exciting.
