Automatic transmission update?

I enjoy driving both transmissions, yeah. I mostly enjoy using the auto, because I have a controller. What bothers me is that in some cars, the upshift times are more... Limited. They seem to only upshift on like, 4000 RPM, such as the covet. Will there be an update that would make this more flexable and adaptive? You probably notice I'm real life, if your car had an auto, then it'll upshift if you aren't giving it anymore gas, and'll go to second, even when crawling. Not sure if this is understandable, but it would be nice to see more, well yeah. What I said.

 

The next update it the transmission update, which will feature a complete overhaul of the transmission code. What you're saying will hopefully be included, or will be possible to add in when the update happens.

 

The automatic transmissions already do this. It calculates when to shift based on RPM and throttle.

 

If you're only shifting at 4k RPM, there's something wrong in either your controller, controller setup, driver, or your jbeam files

We don't know what comes in the update. Only that tdev said that the update is a bit later than usual but it'll be worth it.

 

It's always worth it, I think i should be really excited about it.
