Noted. Workin on the Glacier textures, not going to have it painted everywhere. One problem I ran into if anyone know how to help with this: Tree imposters. I changed the tree imposters for douglasfir, the snow ones work fine right now. Update I found aspen and oak imposters in Raceway map. Testing her now. Made some more file space, deleted all the shapes BeamNG offered for tropical trees, palm trees, vines and bushes, buildings rubish and others. Made a new folder for objects ready to go, along with the .cs file. at this point in time ive hit the matrix. Testin the scale out, tryin to make this more slippery. Also gonna need to add some curvature to the base, add holes, adjust the size, and model the shape a bit. base is roughly 10km by 20km and the file size is 18kb, workin on the texturing so it layers a bit better will save file size of the base texture image. Right now the base texture is 16mb.
Still workin on this, held up a bit because I have do do the floors in my condo, long story short a plumber came by to fix the kitchen sink, instead left me with a $800 bill and a butt load of water damage... New laminate going on before Christmas. Anyways heres an update for you all. I plan to release this LOW DETAIL VERSION before Christmas, also I want to make it a bit more festive with lights and cool addon models/ideas. Trying to do at least 2 - 3 hours of map editing a day, so its slowly but surely coming along. Satisfied with the current progress, here are some more WIP screenshots. Update 12/13-14/2016 Size of Zip file: 187mb custom signs (stop signs, speed limits, truck limits, icy sign, turn arrows, and more) off the map custom tunnels (cuz a map this size, just aint big enough) Near completion LOW DETAIL version of barries bay some main roads have roads lit! (and a lot more work for that) Ice slide is set up to be smoothed out, test ramp in place Mud mountain setup has begun, the cut forest is being thought out. Ski resorts set up in place, Potential to add a small ski jump area. Frozen over ocean has many secret spots added, including but not limited too, broken ships, igloos, northernlights, jumps, and holes to discover! The only overwhelming thing is the sheer size of this map. Will continue to do the Low level detail version of the map first. What still needs work: Roads still need work. This map will be weird looking, next map will be done in L3DT Offroads need rocks and some better pathing, add more offroads - to cabins, lookouts, connecting paths Import some of my models, make sure all dds working Model out the canyon area better, start process of the cut forest. Try to implement a cave system with rocks by mud mountain. Set up the basic road/train system Add decorative festive lights All before Christmas Alpha Release! Let me know what yall think so far, any cool ideas would be great too! If you want me to spend more time on this map or other maps consider donating to my paypal! Motivation never hurt Merry Christmas!

Goin LIVE on youtube. Tune in say hi, give some ideas, and lets drink some coffee together! update: 12/15/2016 Change in gravity. Read this link if you would like to know more. http://io9.gizmodo.com/new-high-res-maps-of-earth-s-surprisingly-inconsistent-1171851670 Increases the damage done to the car but vehicles stick better to the road a bit & should be a bit less problem accelerating or driving on snow/ice. Gonna take a break from streaming its makin my system lag
Does all of the non-paved roads have lots of bumps, potholes, and so on? I like to really test a vehicle's suspension, as to how long a normal economy car's suspension can endure such roads compared to a pickup truck's suspension. Those roads would sound like a perfect place to remake Ice Road Truckers, especially Season X.
yea soon i am releasing the low detail low poly version for testing in the coming days. I didnt get a chance to work much on the decal and i have some errors to take care of first. Hopefully you guys enjoy the work I put into it so far, and give her a old test drive. still a lot to do for a big map. Doing the finishing touches to v1 alpha today and tmrw. STAY TUNED ALL!
